"Really friendly and helpful staff. Top quality pizza from a seriously good wood fired oven and great beer too. This was my number one favourite place in Oberursel during 20+ days stay during the past 6 weeks. Super thin crust, just the right amount of toppings, sit indoors our outdoors under umbrellas or under the sky as you wish. I suspect a lot of visitors don't find this place because it's a short way out of the town centre, but I recommend you walk the extra 500m and find it because it's well worth it. Not only that but you will be amazed at how small the bill is compared to the other restaurants in town. I have no hesitation in giving 5* across the board."

This area has several Italian/pizza restaurants. Gioia is casual and friendly. I had a brick-oven pizza that was as good as any I have had.

It took this joke of a restaurant to deliver our pizzas. They obviously lied to us when we asked them about our delivery status delivery is underway bla bla. This is disgraceful

We went here as a family of three on tuesday night. It had a great atmosphere and the staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. They spoke english perfectly but also italian and german of course we are all vegetarian and they...have some great veggie food like aubergines and pasta. Very reasonably priced too

I am in my fifties and have had a lot of pizza through the years. It is hard to say statements now such as 'best ever' so I will be blunt. This has to rate as the top ten pizzas of my life. I am...sure that I may have had better but not in recent memory. I had the Pizza Diavolo and it was wonderful. Not a particularly upscale place but man is it worth the visit

I am giving stars to Gioia because I had rather mixed feelings about the restaurant. On the positive side, the service was really friendly. We were even offered Limoncello after the meal. I would be more critical with the food. I had the lasagna....It was rather average for a genuine Italian restaurant. I heard the pizza are good, so I would give this restaurant a second chance and try the pizzas next time
