"Awful experience. My son wrote a complaint directly to them last week which got ignored after being told we'd receive a response in 5 days. Went with my family last week on the 31/05/2022 and arrived as soon as it opened at 12pm to be approached by an awfully rude employee. My family of twelve decided to go to the plough with my elderly mother straight after scattering her husband and sons ashes to have a family meal together. This staff member was rude, abrupt and quite openly disgusting to us just because there was a large group and we had not booked. We even asked if we was being an inconvenience to which she tutted, rolled her eyes and just told us to sit down. We was extremely shocked in how openly rude she was being to us and how uncomfortable she was making my elderly mother feel even though the pub was completely empty. Another staff member shouted at my son after he offered that we sat on different tables demanding she needs to know numbers. Considering we've all just come from scattering two close family members ashes, I would hope that the staff get trained in having some consideration and learn some standard customer service skills and overall just be more considerate. Requested that I hear back for an explanation and still no response. Do not recommend."

Lovely pub, great outdoor space. Good choices on menu and staff outstanding. Easy parking and the setting (very close to Middleton House Gardens) is beautiful.

I went on Sunday with 10 other people, personal polite and friendly meal all really great, good choice even a roast dinner if they wanted it. prices are reasonable no negative all great.

Would really recommend the plough went for lunch with some of our disabled clients was made to feel really welcome was served by a lovely young lady called elle so attentive nothing was to much of an ask of her what a great asset to your team at the plough she was the reason for our returning again thanks elle your a star we will diffo be back again an again thank you
