"My dearest gastronomic adventurers, gather 'round, for I have a tale of epic disappointment to recount—a saga that unfolded within the hallowed walls of Ramore, a restaurant that promised delight but delivered naught but despair. Act I: The Thirsty Wait Picture this: I, parched and weary, entered Ramore with dreams of libations dancing in my mind. Alas, the gods of hydration frowned upon me! Thirty minutes—an eternity—I languished, my throat as arid as the Sahara. The elusive elixir remained elusive, and my patience waned like a melting glacier. Act II: The Fateful Order Summoning courage, I beseeched the server for sustenance. “Bring forth the Steak Wellington!” I declared, my voice echoing through the cavernous dining hall. Ah, the anticipation! The flaky pastry, the succulent beef, the harmonious symphony of flavors—it was to be my pièce de résistance. Act III: The Unthinkable Betrayal And lo, the moment arrived. A silver cloche was unveiled, revealing… a monstrosity. Behold, dear reader, a Yorkshire pudding cradling a slab of steak! The audacity! The sheer culinary heresy! My heart sank like a leaden soufflé. The Steak Wellington, once a beacon of hope, now lay defeated—a mere footnote in the annals of gastronomic tragedy. Act IV: The Staff’s Indifference I raised my voice, demanding answers. “Why, oh why?” I implored. The server, unfazed, shrugged as if rehearsed in the art of disappointment. “Our chef’s whimsy,” they replied, as if whimsy could excuse this abomination. No remorse, no apology—only indifference. Epilogue: A Yelping Despair And so, my friends, I pen this review with a heavy heart. Ramore, you have shattered my culinary dreams. Your service, a labyrinth of delays; your Steak Wellington, a mockery of tradition. I leave you with a single tear, shed for lost potential and misguided puff pastry. In summary: Avoid Ramore like a plague of undercooked calamari. Seek solace elsewhere, where drinks flow freely, and Yorkshire puddings remain in their lane. Fare thee well, Ramore. May your soufflés rise, and your service improve—lest ye be forever etched in the annals of over-the-top disappointment."

Came for dessert one day. Queue was out the door, already an indicator of good things to come. Got some of the finest desserts I think I’ve ever had.

Great view, great staff, great food. However even though the staff are friendly and polite, they don't seem to keen to announce themselves when clearly needed View menu

Ridiculous money! Lovely place and people but £4.50 for a bowl of chips and £14.95 for 6 wee goujons (without chips) that were clearly bought in bulk! Not worth it!

My son was where on Friday with his friends. Twice he approached the staff only to be ignored. He had order fries with his burger. In the end, he left without his full order and no refund. I expect my son to get the same treatment as others. Very disappointing.

Bank Holiday Monday and it was manic but staff were professionall and pleasant I had the haddock and it was excellent all though I am not a fan of mushy peas I prefer peas intact. I found it a very overcrowded. If table had not been booked it would have been a long wait. Staff were finding it difficult to get food delivered to tables. View menu

Wasn't allowed in as they were closed allegedly, plenty of people already in and allowed the 4 ladies after us in, this is the 3rd time in a couple of years we have tried and failed to get food here, really shocking service and pointing to a hand scribbled note on the table top saying closed and walking away is hardly good manners, 0/10

Arrived here at around five, staff let us in a bit earlier than opening time. We were in before another couple with kids who had no reservation , according to the lady, and my son who is celebrating his 10th birthday today wanted a specific table which was still available. But one of the hostesses (a rather unfriendly one, a bit on the chunky side she was) would not give us that table it seemed just out of spite!! What a hateful way of treating a child on his birthday, won’t be back!

"We chose this as a convenient mid point venue for a birthday celebration at the Lodge Hotel Coleraine. We were greeted by unsmiling staff and shown to our table. We made our choices. The starters arrived promptly and were OK. When the main course arrived, the waitress unfortunately overbalanced her tray and the salad with blue cheese sauce slid off into my friend's bag and all over the floor! These things happen but not once did she apologise. My other friend had chosen the nut roast. This had been over microwaved to the point of cremation. She drew it to the attention of the waitress who just looked blankly at her! She finally twigged she should ask if she'd like a replacement. Again no apology. The other two mains, fish, were uninspiringly mediocre to say the least. When we'd finished these, a waitress came up with the dessert menu and said we could choose one on the house. I chose Christmas pudding which turned out to be sponge with 6 sultanas!! My two friends wanted liquer coffees and it took 20 mins before we could attract anyone's attention. We were then told the coffee machine would be closing in 10 minutes! We got the coffee and I asked for the bill and a chat with the duty manager. The chap came and chatted to me whilst I explained our unfortunate experience. He was very apologetic. I asked him to review the bill before presenting it to us. He came back with a cheesecake with a candle in and took £5 off the bill! Never again! More training def required."

"Visited lost Found in Portstewart last Friday afternoon for some lunch. Checked the outdoor menu which stated food served until 3.30pm. Went ahead on inside. Started to briefly read the menu at the till as aware from previous visits that you order on arrival yourself at the counter. Was told by the female counter staff that we had 8 minutes to place our order and to take the menus to the table. We did this. Then when we said excuse me to the same member of staff, from our table, that we’d like to order, we were told we had to come back to the till. This made no sense whatsoever. From the moment we stepped in and were told that we had 8 minutes to order should have been the red flag I guess. Friday afternoon, not long till closing, they just didn’t want to be bothered prepping two rounds of food, The two members of staff in the premises had the worst attitude and no ounce of personality to be in the role that they are in. Every thing seemed to be a complete bother. May I also add, the food was very skimp, re portion sizes plus they seem to care more about the presentation than the food itself re the logo branded paper underneath the food. Try attempting to cut sourdough bread on this, not easy unless you want a mouthful of paper. Then when it comes to hot drinks, no sugar or milk provided. Yet again had to approach the till and ask for these to be provided with milk in a paper cup yet another couple had a glass jug of milk on their table (less dishes to wash I guess) and no white sugar at all, had to make do with brown sugar for tea. When asked for refills of hot water we were given a half full glass of this and then when asked for it to be filled up, yet again a whole botheration. Oh and don’t even get me started on the toilet facilities. Dingy to say the least. The premises in portstewart should never have reopened when it did as Lost and Found, previous owner/cafe was far more superior in all ways. Will not be back"
