Ratskeller Schliersee

We enjoyed our trip to Rathskeller excellent food, wide choice and great beer too. Reasonably priced. All in all, a very good evening out.

With my friends we had a nice lunch. The food year after year is always good. From Karma Bavaria Resort or from the village of Schliersee, it's a easy walk.

This place is very welcoming and has amazing traditional German food. The atmosphere both inside the restaurant and outside is fantastic. I ate there twice during my Schliersee holiday.

We had drinks here on one occasion and thought the waiter very friendly and helpful. We returned here to eat but found the schnitzel very dry and the fried potatoes dry and not tasty. Disappointing.

Visited as a family of 5 and were made to feel very welcome. The menu is typically Bavarian and very reasonable value. We had duck, schnitzel, 2 types of roast pork, dumplings and 2 krauts. Portions are very generous! The beer is great. The schnapps...even better. We’d definitely return. View menu

Waren spontan sonntags im Ratskeller zum Mittagessen. Lokal war voll, haben dennoch in der Schwemme noch 5 Plätze ergattert. Sehr schönes Restaurant, super netter Service, hervorragendes Essen und preislich absolut ok. Besonders toll fand ich, dass mein Lieblingswein, ein Lugana Le Creete, im Ausschank war. Das einzige was ich etwas übertrieben fand war der Preis für einen halben Liter Mineralwasser für 5,90 €, was aber den sehr positiven Gesamteindruck nicht beeinträchtigt hat.

On a wed night not all restaurants are open, this one was and did we have a meal to remember, I have seen pork knuckles at the last 2 places we have dine and tonight I was going to have that, what a huge knuckle and a ball of potato dumpling that would have been 5 inches in diameter, Sandra had the turkey Schnitzel which was a huge serve and very taste, lovely old building inside with lots of timber and old photos and horns and all the things that make these places so nice to be in

Loved this place which we eat at last night! It's looks lovely and traditional, had a good menu of staples, favourites and traditional Bavarian food and a friendly waitress who although couldn't speak any English, helped us navigate the menu. When the food arrived (I ordered a steak & my wife the schnitzel) it was a huge portion of tasty home cooked food made to order which was exactly what we wanted. No frills, no huge salad just a big plate of lovely food cooked fresh and we loved it.The restaurant doesn't score too highly in Schliersee on Trip Advisor but apart from Restaurant David (#1 in Schliersee) this place is our second favourite and well worth a visit!
