"the cafe miami offers a varied brunch in clapton with a combination of the aromas of miami – traditional and modern American with Mexican Spanish influences. the interiors are minimalist with light blue and pink decor around the caffe with exposed light rays scattered around the tables. there are various smoothies, juices and milkshakes in offer and the hot drinks are served with heart-shaped sugar cubes! we visited for cinnamon roll pancakes with cream cheese frosting £10) and speck £2). we were certainly not disappointed! they were melted in their mouth delicious and the cream cheese frosting was to die. the sweet and hearty worked with the speck, although we would like to be craspier. the musella filled pancakes and heifers and banana pancakes also on the menu looked quite epic. we also tucked into the huevos rancheros: two fried eggs, tortilla, again fried beans, spicy tomato sauce, coriander £9.5) chorizo £2). this brunch dish was tasteful with a mix of textures with the crispy tortillas on the top. the chorizo added an additional kick and it was a very filling and delicious brunch dish. cafe miami offers a great brunch in clapton and these cinnamon roll pancakes are worth to travel! we would have preferred the service to enjoy a bit more, but it is still a great place to relax with friends at the weekend."

I started coming here after the cafe Dreyfus over the road closed in early 2017 and haven't looked back. Excellent breakfast options with a hint of South American flair, made with bread from the local bakery, and good strong tasty coffee from Dark Arts (also local). Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, a bit of a local treasure.

The staff at this restaurant is very attentive and the food is delicious. I highly recommend trying the Jackpot peanut butter and homemade banana jam on toast for £5. The jam is not overly sweet and the toast is perfectly crunchy. Overall, I would rate this meal a 4 out of 5, just slightly marked down due to the price. I would definitely visit again.

I recently visited a charming cafe with a variety of unique drink and food options. I tried the fish finger tacos and they were absolutely delicious. I also sampled a lime soda, which was refreshing. The service was prompt, making it an ideal spot for a quick meal during my lunch break. The decor was inviting, bright, and appealing. I highly recommend this cafe. View menu

I would describe Caffe Miami as a quaint cafe with great potential, although there were a few issues. I went there for brunch (they offer all-day breakfast, which is fantastic!) and while their menu included the typical options of ice cream, avocado toast, and pancakes, the dishes I tried were quite unique. The avocado toast was delicious, served on rye bread with halloumi and a tasty chili jam. The highlight was definitely the cinnamon roll pancakes, which were packed with flavor from the cinnamon and cream cheese. I will say that it may be a bit pricey considering the portion sizes (the toast was small), but it was definitely worth it for the generous pancakes. The service was a bit lackin...

First time visiting this wonderful little cafe, and I feel compelled to let other people know just how good it is. The staff are *genuinely* friendly and helpful (a stark contrast with many other cafes in east London, where staff are often more concerned with looking nonchalant than either helping you or making you feel comfortable). The sandwich I ate was delicious, imaginative, vegan (at the unprompted suggestion of the cashier), and excellent value. On top of that, my coffee was suitably flavourful and 'proper '. On the mid afternoon weekday I visited it was empty, which is a shame as the interior has the potential to create a nice atmosphere. Seeing that this place is a social enterprise...

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
