"We came for a meal before going to a show in Manchester since the restaurant had be recommended by a friend. We arrived in time but it took ten minutes for anyone to acknowledge us stood at the desk, we were then seated but right under a vent so moved to a table across the way because it was too cold. (Everyone in the restaurant was sat in coats) It took 15 minutes until any staff came over to take our drinks order, at this point it was only 5pm so the restaurant wasn’t very busy yet. We ordered the frickles to start then I ordered the vegan burger and my boyfriend ordered the pit tray. It reached 5.30pm and there was still no sign of any food so we asked politely if our food was coming soon, the waitress replied and said she would go and check. The food arrived about 10 minutes later, but all together? When we had ordered starter and main, we weren’t too bothered at this point since we were so hungry and worried about missing our show. The food arrived luke warm and went cold very quick, my vegan burger just came with lettuce and no sauce, not as advertised. The staff also didn’t ask if we would like any sauces or extra drinks to go with our meal. We didn’t finish our food and quickly asked for the bill to see they added on 12.5% service charge making the bill £55, we paid and left disappointed. Overall the staff we nice enough but very unorganised, the food was very average and low quality for the price. We are not the type to usually complain but we couldn’t even finish our meal because it was cold after 5 minutes. I"

Went to reds true BBQ, food on our visit there was alot missing of the menu which was explained on our arrival. ordered a tray of food each and the food was great as usual! On Saturday, February 11th, we had a reservation at 7pm for my partner's birthday. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that many items on the menu were already out of stock. When we checked in, we were instructed to 'wait in the bar if there is space, otherwise come back.' After finally being seated, it took 40 minutes for our drinks to arrive, despite us inquiring twice and being assured they were on their way. Always used to love Reds. The charm of ‘pit’ food but I’ve been twice in 18 months and left both times hungry and disappointed. Saturday 4pm Just before peak time. To be greeted by someone saying ‘Hi, welcome, here’s everything we don’t have today’ isn’t a great start. No draught beer on. Bottles only and even they had a couple missing. Just massively restricted choice, not the reds of old! To be fair you don’t see stock shortages THAT bad. Then the food… ‘Pig Candie’ sounds delicious… basically Costco bought streaky bacon walloped with a sticky chilli covered jam that was inedible as there were too many blumin chillies. Waste of money.
