"I have only eaten dinner once in this place, and it was good. Pfefferlinger flamkuchen. I enjoyed it much more than the 7 times I ate breakfast. Breakfast is super boring - the same thing everyday: cold cuts, cheese, cheap yogurt of some odd peach flavour, and little boxes of sugary American cereal. Since I'm not a cold cuts eater, I was given 1 boiled egg - everyday. The bread was nice, but the same 3 roll types graced the basket everyday. It would be okay for a 1 or 2 night stay, but it gets old after a week."

Eine gemütliche Atmosphäre fand ich in dem modernen aussehenden Restaurant. Die Forelle war sehr lecker :-)

Fire place heater w/hot goulash and gluhwein. Nice change from the standard German cuisine though that was also available.

The food was very good! The french onion spouse was particularly nice. It seemed like they had a pretty decent wine collection as well. I would definitely go back!

Came for the goose special on a local holiday in November. Food was fantastic, service was great. Portions were large and plentiful. English speaking staff was very helpful. No kids menu, but they were more than happy to being a spare plate for them to share.

The Pfeffermuehle has been a convenient and favorite restaurant for years for me and friends. The food is very good and the owners are friendly and courteous. We have had many gatherings at this restaurant. The flammkuchen is very good as are the schnitzel dishes.

They have a huge english speaking population that stay here since it is close to post, you would think that out of all the channels on the TV, there would be more than one english channel and more than just the BBC News. The internet is so poor that the signal drops every 5 minutes so you can't even stream english tv shows or movies.

We ate at the Pfeffermuehle and the food was terrific! French Onion soup with lots of cheese and an Italian salad that was a meal in itself. The Sauerbraten and dumplings was excellent and the side salad was huge. The staff was very nice and attentive. My only negative is that they need an exhaust fan to clear some of the cooking smells. Would we go back? You bet!

"Wife was in the mood for Italian, so we decided to give Trattoria a try. We had long been intrigued by what was back up that road. What's up there is a lovely location. The restaurant sits in what folks back in TN would call a holler. It's nestled among ridgelines next to a tennis club. To take advantage of their setting, they have a nice outdoor area, which includes a small playground for children. Once inside the service was excellent. The waitress spoke very good English, and they offered English translations on the menu. I must admit however, there was practically no one in the place, so she didn't have much else to do. Regardless, she was very nice. And after our meal, a man I assume was the owner came out to greet us and thank us for coming. But despite these pluses, the food was average at best. My wife had the spaghetti Bolognese, and it reminded us both of school cafeteria spaghetti. It wasn't terrible, but nothing to write home about. I had the Tagliatelle with chicken and beef in a red wine sauce. Reminded me of something you'd get out of the grocery store freezer...you know, like a Stouffers sort of thing. Again, nothing special. The wine list was generic...literally. It just listed about 8 varietals (e.g.: chianti, pinot grigio, etc.), which they serve either by the glass, or in a 0.5 liter decanter.I would definitely agree with an earlier review we read: “There are better Italian places to eat...”"
