"It's the restaurant from Hotel Central. It's not a cheap restaurant but fair. I have had a small menu but I ordered it without dessert and they reduced the price accordingly. Here you get very high quality food; specially the Black Angus Beef is fantastic (one of the best I ever had). Also nice ambience in addition with attentive staff. No stress or arguing with colleagues as other reviewers wrote. Waiting time is absolutely acceptable even if the restaurant is very occupied. All in all a obvious recommendation."

This has been a treat! The Restaurant KASTANIENGARTEN in Hof is a gem! Friendly service, great tables, fine menus. Especially local seasonal food. Bavarian style. Excellent portions, well served. Great kitchen. Good selection of wine. Dessert are also remarkable!

Being a second time guest in this hotel and restaurant within a few weeks time, I was astonished by the slow service this time. Food is good but this week I had approx minutes between soup and main course. A lot of apologies and...free drinks followed but I do think I will walk after minutes max
