"If you sit on the terrace the view is on the sea, which is nice, but for the city on the sea it's not that special. The menu is good enough. But there's a total mess with the waiters. First waiter shows you the place where to sit and ask you about the drinks. Then comes the other waiter, gives you the menu and asks about the drinks again. My mistake was to say that I've already ordered the drinks and of course the first waiter forgot about my order. The correct way was to repeat the order to the second waiter, the worst thing could happen in this case is that I would have my drinks twice, but it would be okay because of the view I mentioned above. Then comes the third waiter and asks about the food. In my case it was "douzaine des huitres a partager", which is 12 oysters to share with my wife. Here I should explain that in the menu the price for 12 oysters is not equal to 6 x 2. That's okay, I only need 12 oysters, which I hope to enjoy with my wife while watching the nice view (see above). Then the fourth waiter arrives and gives to me 12 oysters (still no drinks on the table, see above) on one plate and not in the middle of the table, which could make the "to share" concept possible, but on my side of the table, which makes my wife able only to enjoy the view of the oysters but not to enjoy the food. I asked the waiter about my problem. I should say she gave me the coldest face I've ever seen in the hot Menton, then she took the plate and nervously ran away. Few minutes later she came back with 2 plates, 6 oysters each. And this is obvious. Because I ordered the oysters to share to the third waiter. The same as I ordered the drinks to the first waiter. All other waiters have no clue about what I ordered.P.S. I've got my wine after the oysters. And of course I had 6+6 oysters bill instead of 12 oysters. Which is okay, because they have a nice view for crying out loud, why I expect more than that."

Too bad, loved the food! but our waiter misunderstood our order and had an absolute fit when we corrected him. Not a repeat. (Manager was very nice though but our waiter was unwelcoming). View menu

Very good value quality price, great location. Service efficient, quick and friendly! A little disappointed by the mix of seafood in parsillad, closer to the mussels-frittes than I imagined.

Pizza et lasagnes infectes, moules marinières insipides. Les frites surgelées étaient bonnes cependant (sic). Les rabatteurs devant le restaurant font bien leur travail mais ce ne sont pas des serveurs...

Meals by the sea very pleasant, well cooked and well presented dishes except the cooking of the mussels (many were closed so to see again! . The grilled octopus and its purée were excellent. The goat salad as well. Host servers but service too long! View menu

I am from Toulouse but regularly I come to spend a stay at a friend and this time we ate at the Artists' Restaurant. Nothing to say if it is that the kitchen is excellent tuna tartar excellent with homemade fries a rocket salad with shallots a delight nothing has said, nice service as well as the atmosphere. Just the dessert pie iced with salty caramel butter is good but put something else than the pie ....can be a crêpe.

"the location was attractive. a small picturesque square slightly in draw with a foliage and Mediterranean charm. the restaurant had an outdoor terrace but we decided to eat inside. rustic decoration well maintained. abundance of natural stones and plaster walls of rustic color, nice vaulted type ceiling and terracotta tile floor. We loved him. the kitchen was visible on the path of the toilet and everything seemed chief, busy and good omen. Unfortunately, it's the end of the good news. My wife chose to start with the anchovies leaf and I am the raw ham. The anchovie was not good. Very strange flavor. Too salty. hard dough background. My ham was cut too thick, making the meal difficult. I had to ask for olive oil and gem salt. certainly not the best ham I've had. no comparison with parma or iberico. disappointing. the main dishes were the fish pot and the spaghetti with ceps. Both were a disaster. The fish were cut off. filled with small but important bones. the two rather sad gambas were small and boiled to death. the portion of fish and the quality at the price were bad. Maybe the bisque was swept. The pasta was not good and we left them. we paid 72 euros for this and a very small glass of medium wine and a bottle of flat water. I think chin food is usually not good. French are rather complacent and seem to believe that their historical reputation is enough. Not if. the area is very frequented by tourists and I guess most are unlikely to return to the area, so they think they can get away with it. It's a shame and I couldn't recommend this restaurant. we visit the family regularly to chin, so we would like to find a decent restaurant at a reasonable price. even our family seems to have a bad time. Why? It's the france."

"Casarella used to be a Corsican restaurant. It is located in the old Roquebrune village and is a quiet and nice location, although not accessible by car.It has been sold a few months ago, and has reincarnated itself in an Italian restaurant, more precisely Neapolitan.I decided to give it a try after a friend's advice.Being an Italian, I am often wary of Italian restaurants abroad, but I went along and gave it a try. What I found was a typical Neapolitan menu, with the addition of a few other Italian classics (carbonara, pesto). We tried several things and were surprised by the quality. The pasta was impeccably cooked, the sauces were made with the best Neapolitan tomatoes, the grilled mozzarella was fresh.Even the carbonara, although not a Neapolitan dish, was faultless. We then carried on trying the meatballs (polpette), and found them to be exquisite. We then tried a Pastiera Napoletana which is a difficult dessert to prepare, and one of my favorites. It was perfectly executed. We were then offered a limoncello (lemon based sweet liquor) and found it thick enough to be the real thing, and not a usual washed out imitation.Prices were more than reasonable and quality and service were faultless. The wine list was quite correct and the wines are listed at reasonable prices.Congratulations to the chef and the team for what they did. It is not easy to open a restaurant in a medieval village: cars cannot access it, it is difficult to carry groceries and to receive deliveries. They were courageous to open in such a location, and in my book, they deserve the praise."
