"Everywhere else was full so we tried the Rhydypennau. Was told to be there at 1pm but would have to eat in the bar. Not a problem. Got there at 1pm seated immediately but then 20 mins before we could order drinks. Lucky, as we were just about to walk out. But then another 15 mins before we could go to carvery. Food wise average. All the meat seems to be pre booked and pre sliced. No joints of meat carved in front of you. It tasted ok, but not more than that. Veggies not a bad selection, but all over cooked. A few choices had run out. Sauces all run out except for gravy. But the gravy was good. Very good! Service all the staff were very friendly and nice, but it felt more like a cafe. And service was far too slow. Go again? Yes, but not our first choice. The standard of food was average. There are much better places that charge the same price and with much quicker service. We would rather go to them."

The atmosphere is always friendly, and I consistently feel welcomed here. For my meal type, I dined in for lunch, and the price ranged from £10 to £20 per person. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well.

We had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant! The service was exceptional; a lovely older lady went above and beyond for us. We enjoyed both the kids' burger meal and an adult burger, which we absolutely loved. The price-to-value ratio is excellent, and we will definitely be returning! View menu

We visited for a weekend with a group of four adults and three children, and the service was exceptional! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, and they were incredibly friendly with the kids. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant!

first visit at the rhydypennau inn and was pleasantly surprised. the food was delicious, only had the yorkshire pudding sausage and maic. the standard of the classic pub duve and the small Gravy boat that came with the meal was also delicious. will definitely be back the pub itself as it is in the bow street from the machynlleth to aberystwyth street.

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday carvery at the Rhydypennau Inn. The food was beautifully prepared, served hot, and there was a great variety with generous portions. The crumble for dessert was perfect—not too hot to eat! The staff made both us and our two dogs feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this place. Food: 4/5, Service: 4/5, Atmosphere: 4/5. Great pub with fantastic food! The waitress welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home. I tried the gammon from the main menu, and it was absolutely delicious. Both the waitress and the bartender were lovely. We sat in the lower bar, but there’s also another larger area accessible from the parking side, which features a great room with a pool table and darts, a small play area outside, garden seating, and it’s dog-friendly too. We organized our first visit and will definitely be back. Even on our second visit, everything was just as good. The staff were wonderful, and they were very kind to our dog as well. The food was just as amazing as the first time we visited!

Dreadful bar meal, worst we've had for years. 4 adults and 4 children, all the chips were under cooked, asked for more chips and had the same inedible chips again. Lasagne had an overwhelming taste of vinegar, gammon and burger were ok. We asked for a discount as half the food was inedible, the response was something we've never had in a pub/restaurant before. Reply was there is no manger her so they can't offer any discount. The covering staff member dealt with the whole situation dreadfully and essentially disputed our claim that all our meals were not cooked properly. Even our 4 kids could not eat the chips, this has never happened before. The chef did not come to the table and we were no...
