"Had a lunch at Ristorante Sassella, on a nice July day, after a recommendation by a friend working at the UN Campus. It took me less than minutes by taxi from the Marriott Hotel. We ate in the garden terrace, there was plenty of...distance amongst the tables. My dishes came from the Tageskarte as recommended by one of the owners who was so kind to come to our table and suggested the plates personally. Not sure you'll always find these dishes, and the boss is coming to your table, but if the rest of the food is of the same quality, you should enjoy it for sure. My entrée was San Daniele Ham with Parmesan Ice Cream (yes, it's true), the taste of the parmesan cheese is very soft, my first time ever, superb. It was followed by a Risotto with Sea Bass (excellent consistence of the risotto), and I terminated with a mousse of strawberries and limes, less original, though very good too. I took a big bottle of Panna table water and drank a Lugana white wine from the Garda Lake, never tried it before, but would approve it with honors. The attention by the waiters was good, the ambience relaxed, I would say smart casual. I paid for an excellent lunch with a unique starter, a main course, desert, water and a bottle of wine. If you have enough time to enjoy a remarkable Sunday lunch, I feel Ristorante Sassella to be the right place. Thumbs up!"

Bonn is a charming city on the Rhine, known for Beethoven's birthplace. Typical dishes include Sauerbraten, Rhenish mussels, and Himmel un Ääd, a mix of mashed potatoes and apples.
