"My father was a native of Leopoldstadt, and he loved wiener schnitzel. Back in the 1950s when nobody in the English-speaking world knew what schnitzel was, he occasionally tried to cook it for us, but cooking really wasn't his forte. I later visited Vienna with him many times, especially towards the end of his long life, and we visited lots of schnitzel restaurants, So you might well call me a student of schnitzel.Every few years my wife and I visit Vienna, and it is a time of nostalgic memory of my dear father. And that means lots of wiener schnitzel. On this year's trip Schöne Perle was by far the best. The most tender veal, the crispiest breadccrumb coating, absolute melt-in-your-mouth perfection.I need say no more - just try it for yourself!"

Had our first meal when the city reached, beautiful, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Good local cuisine and beer

One of the best wiener schnitzel I have ever had. A nice cosy and unpretentious place with good food on a quiet street.

Relaxed modern venue for classic local dishes, more exotic vegetarian cuisine & Austrian wines. And the boiled beef is the best

Was very recommended in a magazine and we went here for lunch. Nothing special, simple interior and not spectacular food. Service was slow but friendly.

Great place for lunch and dinner. Very good traditional food with great schnitzels and desserts. Staff pleasant and attentive. It was a great start to our stay in Vienna

We ended up eating dinner here twice since it was near our hotel. We loved all the dishes we ordered. Schnitzel was excellent, chicken skewers too. Also had the Kummelbraten special one night that was amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful for us English speakers as well.

The food was great. The service was to some extent good. We celebrated a birthday party that started with coffee and cake at 1:00 and continued until 11:00 with main courses and drinks. We used a lot for a round of 25 people. The waiter was rude enough to tell us to the end that he had a loss for the business because we had taken too much space that was a love

Quick attentive service, Three of us dined here. The fried chicken salad had an amazing dressing with scalloped potatoes and greens, the veal schnitzel and boiled potatoes was generous, and the desserts, pannacotta and chocolate mousse heavenly. More lactose free meal and dessert options would be a plus. You can't beat the price for the good food served. Recommended.

This is a really nice Austrian restaurant in Leopoldstadt - quite busy on the Friday and Saturday night we visited but much calmer than the city centre. The food was good - we ate schnitzel, goulash and various other dishes and drank local wine, all at extremely reasonable prices. The nicest thing was that our waitress remembered our drink order when we visited for the second time which made us feel very welcome.
