"lively and simple Italian restaurant in a lively part of the city. there are also several tables street side so that the waiters were on the way with hunters both inside and outside. I called earlier to make a reservation, but was said it was not necessary. when I returned to the evening, the place was packed. However, for both of us a big table was cleaned so that we enjoyed a bit of space, although everywhere else in the room was rambled. wise on trip advisor had pointed out that the service could not be fast, but a bit wait here and it did not seem excessively disgusting, and it is not as if someone slacking. menu was the usual pizza/paste mix plus a few carne options I prefer. at this opportunity I tried the very delicate and actually quite generous kalbscallopini medaillen in a delicious white wine sauce, and most pleasant it was. Woman epr tried the rigatoni amatriciana, and although it was a well presented and plentiful dish, she did not seem too impressed by the fat lardons of speck inside. we tried the chocolate soufflé for dessert, which actually looked like prepared chocolate fountains covered with ice, so not quite as expected. when we were finished, the place was much empty and much more relaxed. the very reasonable bill was made available on request very quickly. though hard pressed, the various waiters we met were all friendly and efficient. not a bad function for this part of the city"

Loved the pizza at this restaurant, staff were friendly and spoke English when asked. Good service and told when our pizzas were going to take a little longer. Would visit again!

Second time around (first was better), this time the chef lacked inspiration and served me one starter and one pasta dish without the normal flavour richness of Italian food. Maybe they had a bad day. Friendly service.

the atmosphere of the restaurant was better than eating. the service was very good. I ordered salmon with spinach and tagliatelle, which was in order. nothing special. the accompanying wine was good, and the atmosphere was great. there were many guests who seemed to appreciate.

We waited for over an hour for our 2 pizza’s. The pizza’s where dry, hard, tasteless and burned. When we told them we didn’t want to pay for this, the situation got threatening. The guy in charge told us we don’t decide what we pay...and that the food was good and “crispy” in a very unpleasant way.

Traditional Italian serving excellent pizza and pasta. Service was good, no problems with our group of about 14. There is plenty of choice on the menu, just not so good for dietary requirements-very limited for GF/DF/vegan. Only other downside was that it was hot indoors!...No aircon or windows towards the back so on a hot day it wasn’t very comfortable. All round recommended.

"Wow. Simply Awesome! Best dining experience my wife and I have had in several years, probably top all time, and we are real foodie snobs. They squeezed us in with only a couple hours notice. We got the course menu paired with wine....Little did we know that six courses in metric means First came the amouse bouse, a frothy chicken soup plus a croquette topped with dried mushrooms. Paired with wine of course. Then came a home made freshly baked baguette that was crazy delicious served with a dish of sour cream and chives as well as butter with pumpkin seeds. The bread was so good it could have been its own course, and the sour cream was the first of many unusual com I nations, but it worked. Next was a salad a combination of beet root, cabbage, Thai coconut milk and lemon grass. I hate beets and I loved this dish. Next wa the first actual course, duck liver pate and brioche with figs and wine sauce. Amazing! Now how about some slow cooked trout (which strongly resembled salmon) with tangerines and celery root. Then some white cod with Jerusalem artichokes and hazel nuts. Then, to cleanse the palate a glass of deer broth served in a glass like a brandy snifter. We're only halfway through. Now it's a slab of deer meat cooked like a tender steak, served with a cannelloni stuffed with deer and all set over mashed parsley root that could have passed as mashed potatoes. All garnished with an amazing deer gravy/sauce. Next comes some mont d'or cheese served with house made fruit bread, oranges, and rutabaga. Crazy com o but it was delicious. Now for dessert courses. Red wine sorbet. Think you're done? Next comes white chocolate ice cream serve with quince (purée, cubes, and foam) served with a chestnut parfait. Now we're stuffed, but time for another dessert: creme brulee paired with a chocolate brownie and a serving of mango mousse. Crazy good."
