"My partner laughs at me when we go to restaurants. Why? Working with many independent businesses I help business owners improve their marketing and customers experience. In restaurants there are usually a hundred and one things that could be improved. The service is usually slow, inaccurate, or over friendly, in your face intrusive. Our meals are often spent with me analysing and discussing the customer service and business strategies they're using, and what would work better for them. From the moment I walked in to Spizzico's I was pleasantly surprised, lovely decor. Fresh flowers at the bar. Friendly greeting from the staff. Great selection on the menu, I chose a sourdough pizza margarita with ham. It was delicious, thin and crispy. Yum! Lewis choose a causes and chips (home made and if loved it, especially the crispy fresh salad inside). Service was no less than brilliant, friendly efficient prompt! The owner came to say hello, was warm welcoming but not overwhelming. He clearly takes pride in running an excellent restaurant. I've experienced much worse service in the Savoy. The prices here? For the quality of food super reasonable and excellent value for money! I found myself expressing my delight at the great service and brilliant little restaurant my partner discovered! This is an extremely rare occurrence for me! We'll definitely be back when we're in or around Barnet."

satisfying restaurant. the portions are a liitle large, but delicous. I recommend the seafood rissoto, muscheln, riesentempura garnelen, steak, slender garne and rice, and the ribs.

beautiful! as a regular of spizzico, I can honestly say that I have experienced nothing but the warmest hospitality at each visit, which is apart from the delicious food, why I often returned and would not have recommended any hesitation, friends and family. View menu

Visited the restaurant on a Saturday for a late lunch. It wasn't too packed, the décor and atmosphere was cosy with a Mediterranean feel. Service was great and didn't have to wait long for the food. Ordered the Halumi and Asparagus for a starter then the Sea Bass and Rosemary Potatoes for the main. Both were well cooked and tasted great, would visit again. View menu

Six of us met for a weekday lunch. Huge menu with choices of light snacks to main meals. 3 of us had pasta and three had smoked salmon bagels. All enjoyed their choice and the house wine. Not many people in there but it probably gets busier in the evenings. We were pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived and thought it was good value. Me and my partner came here a couple of weeks ago, food was gorgeous as always and service was fantastic too. Friendly and charming! One of my favourite places to go and eat. My parents are very fond of here as well.

terrible. had negative critiks to write, but I think it is important to let poor restaurants know that they need to improve and stop innocent customers who waste their hard-earned money in this economic climate. second of the service. so poor that I wish I could give zero stars. rude and ill informed waiter, and when we complained to the manager, I really am, although I met some meditterane basil fawlty. he pointed out that the mistakes with the food we have ordered were our mistakes and that if we don't appreciate good food we should go somewhere (a advice we like to take). the quality of the food was so poor; fat pate, small and poor...read more

"I thought I should write a review for sofalino, 2 wonderful evenings spent there over the last month, once for my birthday meal with family, and then again a few nights to dinner with my sister. I've been here since its opening 5 years ago, and it's one of my favorite in north london. the food I had eaten at my birthday dinner was undoubtedly the finest food I had tasted since my vacation in italy in the last summer. after having enjoyed the soft, velvety brot and plump juicy oliven, I shared the antipasto for 2 with my sister for the starter and went for the cow mouse for the pornstar. the antipasto is fantastic; it contains prosciutto, salami, mortadella and breesaola for the cultivated meat, roasted aubergine, courgette and red paprika for the vege and is served on many rockets with circustomates, artichokes and black olives. but the absolute high points of the plate were the buffalo bocconcini, deep roasted valleyggio in the brothcrümeln and gorgonzola arancini. so many beautiful aromas to enjoy, and this is only in the starter! the kalbsmilanese was crooked and fritted to perfection, and was huge! my vater, mama and I decided to go with gorgonzola and spinat gnocchi, instead of the standard linguine napoletana, which to potentially one of the best main courses I have ever eaten outside italian. other dishes that are worth mentioning from this night are the pappardelle with venison and porcini mushrooms, and the gnocchi alla sorrentina. when it was my birthday, they had made me a stunning chocolate cake with fresh strawberries, which covered the meal nicely. for my meal last night I had the antipasto, of course, but this time the arancini even better was the last time she had saffron in, which is possibly my favorite last thing. I had the calzone for the main course, which was simply delicious with a lot of ham and mushroom filling and a nice teigy but crispy crust. I went to dessert the day for pudding, completely forget my clients quickly from no cake / sweet tasty things, but it was totally worth because my huuuge disc birne, mandel and ricota tart was from the top drawer; my sister had only one bit of the baked crust and she still talked about how incredible it was the next day! sofalino also has a very high quality wine list; the primitivo 'il pumo ' is a personal favorite of our, with its dark, smooth, laumen intense taste. at both of these locations the restaurant was full and flowering, and the personal friendly and attentive; just what they want from an Italian restaurant. without doubt, I will be back sooner than later."
