"We went for Sunday lunch, the manager was great, the setting was lovely and tables well spaced and not cramped. The food on the other hand was forgettable. It was either overly salty in the case of the broccoli and wild garlic soup or unseasoned like the greens and mash. The potatoes seemed like that had been stored under a heater for a while. It’s a good deal at 3 course for 32.50 and a great selection to choose from but you can definitely make a better roast at home. Overall it wasn’t bad but didn’t have the wow factor either."

We’ve been a few times in the past and we were attracted this time by a special offer on their fixed price lunch. This was by far the best experience we’ve had. Food was really excellent and service (mainly the friendly, efficient and good-hearted Imogen) first class. Would strongly recommend. View menu

Super friendly, knowledgeable staff and the food was amazing. Couldn’t find fault with anything…other than the unseasonal moody sky, but the ambience inside more than made up for the view out the window!! It’s not the cheapest…but you get what you pay for. Quality food and wine with great service.

We had eaten here before and food was excellent. So we were looking forward to lunch today. Again the food on the set menu was freshly cooked, well presented and delicious. The restaurant has a nice vibe and tables are well spaced. Today we were looked after by Imie and she was delightful. She was able to advise us on all our choices and nothing was too much trouble. Her service was friendly and attentive.We shall be recommending to friends.
