"Looking back on this place, the best thing about it is eating in front of the pretty fountain. There are lots of people walking by too people watching at its finest! You know what, the food was really good too. However, stay away from...the Aioli Grande, here at this restaurant, it's just a clump of mayonnaise. Salads were tiny. The sausages, the schnitzel, the fish, the sauces, were all great. The price was a little bit higher than other places we ate, but I guess you're paying for the fountain setting. And that dreaded tax on every restaurant meal it just always bothered me all the way across Germany! The seven of us ate for €, so, even with the idiotic VAT... it comes to € per person... that's not that bad"

I've been to Kaiserslautern twice and this is so far my favorite restaurant. The best schnitzel I've had to date. They always have great specials and the atmosphere is wonderful

Came here for lunch with my wife on a Monday. Cold weather but warm atmosphere along with friendly service. The pumpkin soup was excellent as well as the fish for my main. Not too many tables but we lucked out as it wasn't that busy....Reasonable prices and well worth it. Will come back again

My husband and I ended up eating here two nights in a row when we found our hotel room too unbearably hot. This little cafe provide a nice respite with good food and drinks and friendly service. Its in a lovely little square with a...fountain with a lively clientele of all ages. Everyone seemed to be out enjoying the long summer evenings. Our food was very good. One night I had a salad and the second night I had the perch. Both were excellent

I had lunch outside, lovely next to the fountain. The waiters were very friendly but the food was very average, not good, not bad. I had the garlic bread. It was supposed to be roasted and I expected crispy bread, but they drowned it in...garlic butter, so it was soggy. As a main course I had the Ofenkartoffel vegetarisch jacket potatoe. They added grilled vegetables, which was a nice addition. The pitatoe however wasn’t fresh and you could really taste that. All in all a nice place for a drink, but don’t expect to be dazzled by the food

Recommended by the hotel where I stayed. It was only a minute walk so I ate here twice. Good location by a lovely fountain. Food was great, service was good, employees were friendly, restaurant clean. Public restroom available. It was clean but small and...down a flight of narrow stairs. English speakers was a plus for me. I had schnitzel both times I visited. Once with lemon, once with mushroom gravy. Both were lightly breaded, moist and tender. Served with well seasoned roasted potatoes and a green mixed salad with a nice house dressing. Delicious
