"We wanted somewhere reliable where you could take your own drinks for eight people for surprise 70th birthday. It could not have possibly ben better. The food was lovely, service impeccable,. Nothing was too much trouble including organising the cake, candles and fireworks (supplied by the restaurant). They were quite happy to supply plates and spoons to eat the cake for dessert with ice cream. And it came to less than fifteen quid a head. Marvellous. Thank you."

Ive been using this restaurant since I was 17 (34 years ago) and it has always been superb. We had a delivery from them earlier this evening and this was wonderful. I can’t recommend this place highly enough for those that love Indian food View menu

Me and my mates have been going here every Wednesday for a number of years. The food is always fresh and of good quality and very consistent. The family that run the restaurant are really friendly and always welcoming. We all love the Pathia and the naan breads are something else. This is a definite go to place if you fancy one of the best curries in the area.

I always get my takeaways from the Standard Tandoori but this evening there was a mix up with Just Eat and there was a problem with the delivery. This was not the restaurant's fault. The Standard were polite (as was the brilliant delivery driver) under pressure and when we eventually got our food, it was delicious. It is also excellent value. From now on I will order directly from their website or phone.

Having never been to this curry house before we nearly missed it driving past. On looking in was quiet however decided to give it a try. Wow the food was amazing. Portions were good prices very good. Probably the best curry we have had in a long time and probably our now new favourite restaurant. Ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken madras, chips, rice and cheese keema naan which was amazing. Definitely returning.

"The food is really enjoyable. Some of the meat can be a bit dry in parts but generally speaking it's quite good. Is it better than what you'd get at the average chippy? Not for what it costs. Ordering two box meals and a couple of sides got the cost up to £50 with charges. Considering a large mixed meat in naan at my local chip shop is £7, it's incredibly expensive. There's far too much waste which really needs to be addressed. Every food item is at least two layers of packaging deep. With a box meal you have the outer corrugated cardboard box, then all dividers inside, then the kebab sandwich is in a box of its own, then it's in a foil wrapper, then it's in a paper wrapper. It's all needless waste and when we're all trying to be more conscious of our carbon footprint this just isn't required. There are some nice things that just aren't replicated elsewhere, their kebab bread is fantastic and very similar to a traditional Turkish pide. Their sauces are really good too. Full of flavour and balanced well with the meat but I will say there's never enough of it. Three little poxy pots is all you get.The fries are average. Nothing remarkable about them. The spicy fries are a tasty addition but this option does bump up the price but again, perfectly average.Overall I'd recommend that it's worth trying at least once but the prices are way over valued and quantity in some areas lack. If they cut down on all the needless packaging they could even bring the prices down but £15-20 for a box meal (one can of pop, one kebab sandwich, one fries and two spring rolls) it's a bit of a joke."
