"We had a wonderful evening with friends, who were also celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. A joint, informal celebration. We visit the Storyteller two or three times year as we feel we can trust the service, food and drink. This time the food was very good, and the vegetarian options were notable for their variety (not extensive and could be expanded) and quality. The wine list is fine but better to get up and look at their their wine racks. The service was good and the interval between courses well judged. Although the restaurant was busy, the level of background noise was suitable, making it easy to hear and be heard."

I booked Storyteller after a recommendation from a colleague for 12 in a private room. The collective feedback I received was that the food was lovely, and the resturarant was lovely only downside was that the service was a little slow. All who attended would return. Thank you for making this an enjoyable expeience.

We went with another couple where it was their first time whereas we have been four times before. As soon as we were sat in a window seat looking out towards the garden area our friends said that they knew they were going to like this as they loved the ambience and the tall windows letting in lots of light. Our friends enjoy meat dishes and the steak was very good and cooked just how it was requested, the kangaroo was a new meat to our other friend and they too liked their dish. The red and white wines which were chosen were also of a good quality. We can walk to this restaurant in 10 minutes so it is extremely handy.
