"Charming pub with a fantastic atmosphere. There's a lively main bar and a quieter separate dining area, perfect for those seeking a more relaxed experience. The pub also features a generous garden for children and plenty of outdoor seating. I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive and diverse menu, which ranges from fish and chips to lamb's liver, with plenty of fish and seafood options. The fisherman's basket I tried was delicious and generously portioned, accompanied by crispy chips. The prices are reasonable as well. There's a large parking lot, but remember to enter your registration number at the bar to avoid a fine. Definitely worth a visit!"

"We found this absolute gem after a lovely day at the beach, the peach cheese cake was truly divine, a real melt in your mouth culinary delight, as was the scone with cream and jam, (all vegan) . The best hot chocolate I have had in a very very long time, the presentation was wonderful, all fresh ingredients and home made, and Ian the owner is cheerful, friendly and spot on with his delicious array of food, highly recommend a visit"

"From the moment we stepped foot into The Star, it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, with all the food freshly cooked, perfectly made vegetables, and delightful roast potatoes. The sticky toffee pudding was the perfect way to end the meal. The staff, who are all family members, provided top-notch customer service without being overbearing. I also learned that they offer takeout and delivery services for locals. It was truly refreshing to dine at a place where everything was just right. I cannot recommend The Star enough and will definitely be returning in the future."

"This was our first visit to this restaurant, and it definitely won't be the last. It's a charming, historic place with rustic beams, uneven walls, and a genuine old-world layout. The staff are excellent at what they do; they engage with diners, share laughs, and create a warm atmosphere, which I really appreciate. The food is outstanding and not overly greasy. I ordered a jalfrezi, which was aromatic and spicy without the overwhelming heat of a vindaloo, and it was absolutely perfect. My guests enjoyed their meals as well, finishing everything they ordered, which is a testament to the quality. We felt more like family than just customers.
