"My friend and I have started popping in here once a week for lunch after a long walk with the dogs! The toasties are absolutely delicious, full of filling and piping hot. Super good coffee too! The cakes look fabulous but we haven’t indulged after being too full up after our toasties! Very good value for money and spotlessly clean a gem of a place in Galashiels right opposite the Tapestry building. Would highly recommend."

Myself and hubby have popped in here a few times when in Gala. Great selection of sarnies, soups, freshly baked scones and cakes. Staff all very friendly!

Had lunch here and was totally impressed. One of those little cafes that has great homemade food and wonderful service. Lovely menu and the food was delicious. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Very friendly and obliging. We ordered coffee and a piece of Victoria Sponge cake to share. The cake came already halved onto two plates each with fork and pot of cream, really kind. Cake excellent. Staff very pleasant.

The cakes at this restaurant are top-notch, baked fresh every day on site. They offer a fantastic variety of teas and hot chocolates as well. While they also serve other drinks and food options, it's the cakes that truly steal the spotlight.

My wife and I recently visited here for some refreshment. We were pleasantly surprised to find it a traditional tearoom although a bit small, but cosy. We had cream scones (homemade) served with loose leaf tea. The staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed them very much. We will definitely return.

The restaurant has changed its name and is now under new management. The staff is more polite, the produce is all homemade, and it is fantastic - just as good as before, if not better. It is not trying to imitate what was done before, but rather is original and unique. The overall experience is great and I recommend giving it a try.
