"Went to Izakaya straight after an attempt in next door Aki restaurant (that should be avoided) as we were still hungry and did not want to finish our journey in Paris on such a bad experience. Got tonkatsu, seaweed and warm sake for reasonable price in a cosy little izakaya (although more of a restaurant). The japanese lady cooks are happy and busy cooking behind you, and do a very god job, simple, tasty at affordable prices."

They are real Japanese (and not Chinese! , the food is ok but misses stuff: For example: porc curry wasn't accompanied by pickles. Apart from that the welcome was warm and service was good. View menu

If you are looking for genuine Japanese food cooked by genuine Japanese people, this is the place. I went for their lunch menu with gyoza, soup and rice. Delicious. And affordable. Will come back.

I went with my gf for lunch. The queue at Higuma was ridiculous as ever so we decided to try something new! What a fantastic decision it turned out to be. The food is on point and extremely well priced. We stuffed ourselves and the bill only came to €25. The gyoza are incredible not to mention the katsu curry and the beef egg dish. Definitely going back again in the near future. Can't rate this place highly enough!
