Tantris - Menu

fantastic eating and relaxed atmosphere staff are excellent and helpful. they can really relax here they enjoy the great food and feel very comfortable. inexpensive, but it is worth it.

One of Munich’s pride , Tantris . We received a gift certificate to dine here as a couple . It is known to be one of the best in the city, a Munich institution. The staff was friendly and not pretentious. The meal it self...was expectantly superb . Do people come here to be seen , maybe but the chef and kitchen staff do prove they are worthy of their stars and reputation .

Let's start saying that food was good and wine selection excellent. What i didn't get is the surprise effect. When eating in michelin stars restaurants I expect to be part of an experiment, every bite need to be different. I was host of a corporate...event so maybe i didn't pay enough attention to details but i had the feeling that something was missing. Restaurant all in all is nice, but in my opinion too big. We had great expectations given the 2 Michelin stars (recently 3 stars). The food was good but nothing exceptional, and no interesting combinations. The service was great until we reached dessert and they asked us to move to the bar because they needed start vacuuming...and ironing for the dinner service (it was only 3:30pm). This was obviously disappointing given the price point and expectation of the service. There are other much better restaurants in Munich.

This restaurant might be interesting with their decor and setting 20 years ago but now it’s looked dated. The 80’s menu was a bit boring considered it’s high price. The executions were ok but there was nothing to report. The services were mixed and quite...casual. The ambiance was like in the 80’s. They were kind not to charge my son’s main course though. The place is still very popular with the locals. I reckon they need to improve their menus to compete with the new competitors.

our first visit and too long in production. when we first went to the restaurant, it is like a little step back into the time and a happy one. it felt warm and welcoming, not the usual white and black. in front of the house and...maître were so friendly and professional setting the right ton and make us immediately welcome. eating is good, and I mean very good. incredibly sharp and defined aromen and playful ideas, for example, I was a little taken back by the description of a type of spattery Carbonara retake, but wow it worked. all up. an incredible weeping card, super sommelier and our two waitresses were brilliant. definitiw deserves the Michelin stars! they love the outer, the stone statues, the color and the interior design. there are two sections in the restaurant, one area served prefix menu, the others for more regular menu. we had the complete lunch prefix and it was amazing. each dish was tender, the presentation, the taste and how it was served; all perfect. from the moment on we enter the facility, nice welcome from the manager, the staff were very professional, enjoyed the wee pairing with our meal. the whole experience was very good and a great opportunity to celebrate my birthday. I’m a regular visitor in Munich due to my job, and one of my hobby is to discover best restaurants and bars of the places which is very local situated in Munich and showing up excellent quality, so it was obvious to visit Tantris. If...you are visiting one two Michelin starred restaurant, your expectations is definitely very high. After numerous visits to Tantis under Hans Haas’ era over the past 15 years, I was looking forward to experiencing the new era under Benjamin Chmura. First impressions: Tantris has kept its incredible 70s charm, only tweaking the look and feel where necessary. But Tantris...is primarily all about the the food, secondary about the wine and finally about the service. The service remains friendly, experienced, uncomplicated but with the expected level of professionality. The wine accompaniment to the grand menu was very good.
