"I had booked a table for 9 people and came an hour and a half early for the reservation. we had thought for drinks before, but the host was nice and showed us on our table, although he was so early. a member canceled what was probably a good thing because more than 8 people would have been a bit a quetsch, but the service was absolutely fantastic, the eating was amazing, the cocktails were very tasty, the place was beautiful and full of life. I believe it is safe to say that dinner was a success and I will definitely go back as the rest of our party:"

Delicious as always! It's the best place for Sunday dinner in Manchester. The starters are always fresh and innovative.

Service was great with really friendly staff. We ordered from the 3 course set menu. The food was delicious although the choice of main was a bit limited. The a la carte looked very interesting but with 2 (not that interested) teenage kids not worth the expense. Would definitely try the a la carte menu leave kids at home next time View menu

Thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing Sunday lunch. Wine a little expensive and the wine list did not include the year of the wine. One slight complaint we were not shown the dessert menu, simply told what it was. We ordered cheese and biscuits but were shocked when the bill included a £4 surcharge which we were not told about. They did, however, remove that surcharge when we complained. Cheese portions were also very small. Overall though these were minor things and we were very impressed and will return.

our waiter was nice and helpful, but whole atmosphere was uncomfortable, as many things were in the bar and discussed how to serve customers, they were more masters than customers, I do not understand this behavior, this should be discussed openly before or after the restaurant. the main meal was so small that I thought it was an appetizer and it was nothing special. for the gloomy I ordered strawberry victorian sponge, which was terrible, it only looked beautiful, but it was tasteless. I will not go back there and I will not recommend this place.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
