"The Temple Bar is located on Temple Street in St Clements, situated between Cowley and Iffley Roads. It is my local pub, and I am also a member of the Temple Bar table football team, which recently won the Oxford University League. The pub has a beautiful old Victorian exterior and a beautifully designed interior with soothing green walls, comfortable leather chairs and sofas, and a good layout. The Temple Bar is known for being a 'house of fun', with a variety of games such as pool, Jenga, Connect 4, billiards, darts, and more. The pub is always busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, as well as on other nights when there are events such as quizzes, foozball team games, darts team games, open mic nights, reggae nights, and karaoke. The pub also has a beer garden with a covered area and heating, as well as picnic tables. The owner, Barry, and his family keep the place in top condition, with a long bar and plenty of employees to ensure a great pub experience. Barry is always involved with the pub teams and makes sure they have everything they need. The Temple Bar is a top pub with a top atmosphere, run by a top man. Come down and enjoy! If you're interested in joining one of the foozball teams, feel free to reach out - we're a friendly group always looking for new members!"

First time here, the service needs to be customer friendly, because the shawarma was dry and not tasty at all.

Nice place for shisha and good food. Also good to watch football games, but they should accept cards and have separate toilets for men and women, because women would find them always dirty :

I absolutely adore this restaurant! It's perfect for students with its affordable drinks, billiard tables, and large Jenga and Connect 4 games. The drinks are very reasonably priced, and there are screens to watch football games. Everyone here seems to be enjoying themselves. View menu

nice eating as usual. the last visit was a little disappointing, just because the restaurant was suddenly overwhelmingly busy, which led to our eating lasted an hour. now try to wait for eating with young children. however, they were generous enough to let us try a court for free.

Temple Lounge is exactly as the name suggests - a hidden gem for dining and desserts! Despite its unassuming exterior, it is a beautiful establishment tucked away from the main street. Perfect for those looking to enjoy a proper meal and indulge in something healthy and delicious. This restaurant is ideal for families and children, offering a variety of options to suit everyone's tastes. The service is outstanding, with a warm and friendly welcome accompanied by a beautiful smile, and the food is delicious!

"I've been going to Oxford for 3 years now and in that time to be frank struggled to find a decent go to restaurant. I can now say with delight i've found my destination. I present SPICED ROOTS a little caribbean culinary gem. The fresh perfectly cooked food is absolutely delicious and gives off that home cooked by mummy vibe and is beautifully presented. The chilli and garlic prawns had my eyes closed Mark Weins style (if you know you know) so juicy with an incredible depth of flavour, the Trini doubles not only were seasoned to perfection they left you wanting more and the Jerk chicken spring rolls were an absolute triumph. For mains we had the ackee and callaloo Jerk Tempah (vegetarian) and the Jerk chicken. Both came with rice peas, plaintain and salad. Not only were the portions huge the flavours of both dishes were just mind blowingly delicious. Then we embarked on dessert and had the beautiful spiced rum cake and a selection of 3 home made ice creams namely Coconut, Guinness and the old Caribbean favourite Rum and Raisin, all recommended by the owner. It's at this point I feel compelled to speak about the rum raisin ice cream. I've eaten this ice cream on numerous occasions at numerous locations in Jamaica over my many years and I tell you no word of a lie this was hands down the best rum and raisin ice cream I've ever tasted, it literally left us speechless. So to summarise, this place has great food, great music, great service and a wonderfully charming owner who's totally invested in serving great, incredibly tasty, authentic Caribbean food clearly prepared with love. What more could you ask for. Fair to say it was meant to be. Uncle Jay."
