"As for the food, it can only be described as divine! It's the best burger I've had in quite some time, and it's the first beef burger I've been able to enjoy in even longer. The risotto was outstanding as well—perfectly cooked without being gloopy or watery. This place is definitely a go-to for high-quality meals that won't break the bank. For those seeking vegetarian options, there are plenty available, all generous in both quantity and quality. When it comes to dietary restrictions, my friend with IBS and I, who have multiple food intolerances, found an abundance of choices. The staff are very kind and more than willing to double-check details to ensure that you feel confident and safe with your choices. In terms of accessibility, the restaurant is very wheelchair friendly, though there are a few minor lips where the carpet in the hallway has worn down. However, the latest one I've noticed has already been addressed. There are plenty of seating options, ensuring that everyone feels included. The staff are always happy to assist if needed."

I had a delicious espresso at this cozy restaurant, which offers a magnificent view from the window. The hotel is located on the university campus, so it may require a bit of a walk up the hill and can be a little confusing to find. I would recommend this place in Bangor. View menu

I had the soulbark and then the white chocolate raspberry broth for dessert. They were delicious! The service was great too. Even though they were busy, they made sure to come to our table to ask if we needed anything else and apologized for the delay. The staff was very friendly. Well done!

I visited the Uni for a meeting and stopped by for a light lunch. I ordered an omelette filled with potato, cheese, and chorizo, accompanied by a side salad and chips. The service was excellent and the food was beautifully presented. The main arts building offers a wonderful location with stunning views over Bangor. I highly recommend it! "Tl;dr this chef and this team are on their way to a Michelin star, so get a reservation while you can. We visited here Saturday 29, where we enjoyed the tasting menu by current chef John Hollywood. Their tasting menu is averagely priced, comparable to Dublin’s Bastible, with 6 courses actual, and plenty of wine. Aside from the setup, nothing else is average. The staff at Boat House are second to none. The atmosphere is similar to Hof van Cleve, with chirpy, witty staff happily serving customers and following the mood of the table. Their sommelier and wine pairing is particularly special, with each bottle subverting the trend, unexpected, but without compromising on quality (see: Bastible cannot figure out wine). Their sommelier is a wine nerd who’s happy to go into as much depth as you want, but you feed off the passion between courses, which is a really great dynamic between the staff and the table this is rare, usually only achieved at top star restaurants. I’ve never found this in the island of Ireland. The food itself is the perfect mix of foraged from land and sea, each dish testing and surprising you, but with some classics mixed in (beef Barolo your reward for trusting the chef). On the whole, the menu seems designed to subvert comfort you in equal measure, and succeeds with every course. You won’t find the same level of experimentation from many of the Italian tasting menus on the circuit, but that comes with the assurances of consistent quality and a journey that’ll never let you down, where subversive wine pairings inject a level of exciting chaos without risking the food. Between the atmosphere, staff, and chemistry at the table in the kitchen, a trip to Boat House can be held in the same regard as some of the world’s top Michelin star restaurants. They’re on the way. They have the ingredients, whether you know it or not. Better start those birthday reservations now."
