Had both breakfast and evening meals here, very enjoyable and the food was great. One star deduction for slow service when it gets busy, although the staff do try their best. The roast dinner at this restaurant was disappointing. The lamb meat was decent, but the vegetables were undercooked and rubbery. The Yorkshire pudding was chewy and the gravy lacked flavor. The staff did not provide much assistance when my elderly mother struggled with the card machine. Overall, the service was lacking. I would not recommend this restaurant for a meal. View menu

This breakfast was the worst I've ever had!!! The ingredients were of poor quality and poorly cooked, the taste was terrible. I understand now why they make you pay in advance!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone. I took one bite and had to leave, then went straight to the Harvester instead. I ordered the veggie burger, which came with fries and coleslaw, and I was really surprised by how small the portion was for the price. The burger was pretty small and there was only a handful of fries. It was nice enough, but not worth the amount being charged. They were also out of quite a few things on the menu, in spite of it being pretty quiet and the service was very slow. One of the waiting staff was lovely, but the others seemed like they'd rather be elsewhere, it was hard to get anyone's attention and it took about 20 minutes to pay the bill. I went to this restaurant for a family lunch and struggled to decide how many stars to give. It wasn't a busy time and the service was handled by one person who was responsible for seating customers, taking orders, delivering food, clearing tables, and handling the bills. It was clear that she needed some assistance. The menu was lacking, as they did not have any burgers available. The food we ordered was tasty, but the starters sat on the pass for over 5 minutes while the waitress was busy. I would consider returning, but I would inquire about the availability of items on the menu beforehand, as we were not informed until we were ready to order.
