"We visited for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the food and the attentive service as well as that it is dog friendly as well. My starter was the goats cheese salad, it was done very well and attractively presented with a mustard, honey balsamic dressing; which really delivered the sweet/salty and slightly acidic flavour that complemented the goats cheese. I followed this with the roast beef. The beef was wonderfully tender, rare-medium that I like, with plentiful gravy, root vegetables (parsnips and carrots), cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes. The potatoes were beautifully done, obviously cooked in lots of fat that made them wonderfully buttery on the inside but still crisp on the outside. My wife had the crab salad as a starter followed by the roast duck. She likes her duck well done, rather than rare, and commented that it was just right; being succulent and not allowed to go dry which can be the case when she has ordered this dish elsewhere. Clearly there is a talented chef at work here. My portions were a good size and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. We will certainly be coming back."

"Myself and my partner stayed for a weekend break and were met by Jade one of the owners and shown to annex which was beautiful and bed was extremely plush and comfortable. The kitchen area was complete with a fridge full of drinks and local milk. In the evening we dined in the restaurant and it went from being a lovely stay to an amazing one as the food was epic and I could do a separate review for on its own, suffice to say we can’t remember having a soup that was smoother and fish (Stone Bass) was incredible. There are a couple of walks within a couple of hundred metres that are really picturesque and a farm shop that is only 5-10 minute walk away that does brilliant coffee and has pop up food stalls on a Saturday so you can really have a relaxed time and not need to drive anywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning and the new owners have done really well in such a short time."

"Gorgeous birthday meal for my daughters 21st birthday! The lovely bar staff/waitresses worked super hard. There were 20 of us and it all went amazingly well. Food was delicious and hot, drinks were cold and bubbly! Thank you all so much! Xx"

"First time in a pub after March 2020, but furst time ever here-it was really good! Everything is very well organized, the meal was good, nice beer Although if they would have Portuguese beer it would be even better ; , and great dessert. Thank you so much for trying your best to open the pub during these times Covid19 , after today I think I am going to check how the other pubs in Cambridge are, it's going to be difficult for them to keep up with you so well organized !!"

"Ordered from Winners the other day (Xmas eve), Our order should’ve come to £40.70 according to the menu and they usually charge £6 for delivery. When I asked how much it would be to get the money ready I was told £50 exactly. I thought that’s more expensive than usual!When the driver turned up he said it’s £54. I said no I was told 50, he just said it’s a new menu and showed me the receipt and it had £50 printed on there and in pen someone had crossed it out and written £54. So as well as prices increasing since the new owners have taken over, the delivery drivers seem to be running a scam. I have contacted the company who said that they would look into it, but surprisingly they have ignored me. Avoid."
