"We were staying in the area and fancied a Sunday lunch. So glad we called in. The roast on offer was pork or beef. We both chose the beef, which was served with a yorkshire pud, boiled and roast potatoes, carrots and cabbage. The beef was very tender and tasty as was the rest of the food, you got a good plateful so we couldn't have managed a sweet. The service was very speedy. Price was £9.50 each. It wasn't too busy and it was 2 o'clock. There was a Hungry Horse over the road so whether a lot of people went there I don't know but we have always found their food sub standard so no contest really! Would definitely return if in the area again. There is a holiday park right next door so I imagine it would get very busy in high season."

We had an incredible meal at this restaurant, which was a spontaneous decision to stop at a place we had passed by many times before. The food exceeded our expectations, and we were impressed by the friendly staff, reasonable prices, and inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We recently visited Bleadon while considering a move from Bristol to the area. During our visit, we stopped by the Anchor, a charming and welcoming pub located near the cottage we are interested in. We enjoyed a few hours chatting and indulging in a delicious pub lunch. We highly recommend this lovely establishment and hope that it will become our local pub in the near future.

Came to Somerset for a weekend with friends found this great pub that welcomed our dogs us. The food was amazing ....the Sunday Lunch was all cooked fresh and tasted delicious . Nothing was too much trouble for the landlord we will defo be coming back to Somerset even if it’s just for Sunday lunch here. Highly recommend this pub the fact it had an open fire burning was the icing on the cake.
