"I visited The Barley Mow yesterday after a morning walk for some Sunday lunch. All three of us decided to have the Sunday roast, and we were all satisfied with our choices. We had two chicken dinners and one beef. The portions were just right and left us feeling full when we finished. The beef was cooked to perfection and the chicken was a good size. The Yorkshire puddings were delicious, there was plenty of vegetables, and we also enjoyed the traditional cauliflower cheese. The friendly staff took great care of us and made sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

Very cosy traditional pub, dog friendly aswell. Met bear a locals dog and he was so adorable. The food was very tasty. Staff friendly especially the young barman Ollie.

Arrived and seated quickly. Dog friendly pub. Ordered 2 pizzas and a portion of Fries. They have a very nice al forno set up in the garden so the pizza was excellent. Service was very good

A lovely, almost idyllic location for a pub but spoilt by an understaffed bar and one queueing system for locals and another for outsiders with free snide remarks. Far more welcoming pubs close by.

Warm, sunny day with cricket when it would be expected to be busy. Long queues for the bar, waiting 20 minutes, potential customers going elsewhere. Understaffed and the same every Saturday during the summer. View menu

We picked up our daughter from her university and went for a walk with the dog round Tilford and booked the Barley Mow for lunch. We were 30 minutes early for our booking but there was no problem with being shown to our table straight...

We stopped at the Barley Mow for a Saturday lunch whilst out hiking. It was quiet (which suited us), with an outdoor garden space. We ordered a lunch time baguette with chips which was well cooked and very hot. The lady who served us was...

We arrived at 14.30 after visiting the Sculpture Park, which was excellent. Four of us had a lovely lunch from the bar menu. The lady behind the bar was very personable and helpful. Will return if we are in the area. Check food availability on... View menu

Had a great lunch with friends, good food, selection of drinks and hospitality that ended up going into the night. Being able to watch the cricket in the background added something extra different. Look out for the 1959 photo and the celebrity team! Great place, will be back soon hopefully.

I cannot rate this quaint country village pub highly enough. The bar and restaurant staff are extremely warm, friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. We ate here from Tuesday to Friday during our stay in Tilford and sampled the Lamb Shank, Welsh Chicken, Sausage and Mash, Steak and Ale pie and Steak baguette. All dishes that I would highly recommend, my only regret is that we were not staying longer to sample the rest of the menu. My compliments to the whole staff were given as we left to come home and I just cannot wait to visit again.
