"One of my favourite places to visit. It has a lovely beach walk of around 20 minutes to a couple of hours depending on what you want. Has customer parking but does get busy Sundays. Very friendly staff. Shout out to Stuart who is funny and accommodating and made our stay more enjoyable. Rooms: Lovely room with sea view. Comfy and sufficient for our needs. Complimentary water and tea and coffee in the room. Lovely dark wood stair case and a fabulous Sun room at the top. Nearby activities: A stones throw away from the beach and Lymington port. One of my favourite places to relax and rewind. Food drinks: We had a lovely soya coffee and their vegan cheese cake. We have had Sunday lunch there before which was nice but look out for their resident cat Lancelot whose very friendly."

We have been to this pub/ Restaurant in the pass and always enjoyed the experience. This time the sevice was not what we expected very close to rude and not a warm welcome. The food was well below average and very disappointing. Will probably not return when next in area, it a shame. Service: 1 Location: 4

We went last night with friends for a meal which i cannot fault, however, the attitude of the barman left a lot to be desired...he was continuously rude and dismissive throughout the night for no apparent reason. I can only assume that he just did not want to be there? We live locally but based on this experience we will not be returning, sorry. Service: 1

This is a gem of an Arts and Crafts building. Apparently the summer home of a wealthy family how I'd like to go back in time and see it then. I had a glass of cider in the garden with my three dogs and took a quick walk through the small grounds to the seafront. The menu looked good might eat here next time. Noteworthy details: The architectural features. What a fabulous house it must have been and now a really characterful pub. Location: 5

The beach house (formerly known as Westover Hall) is a glorious building with lots of history and quirks. The rooms are lovely, with some good sea views available in some of them. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food and drinks available are great. And the location is fabulous too especially if you want to have a swim in the sea or a windy walk along the coast. We will be back. Rooms: They have dog friendly rooms, so you can bring your dogs to stay I would call and book directly with the hotel (that's what I did as I couldn't figure out how to book a dog friendly room directly on their website).

"I visited here last week as a birthday present and wow, what an amazing place. It was run by a very small team but it worked perfectly. The decor was simple but equally very stylish, without looking flash or poncy, and the David White painting on the wall of the Great white shark that sparkled in the light was absolutely amazing (I really want one) We both had the tasting menu and I had the wine pairing too, for an extra £35, it was an absolute bargain and I would highly recommend. The food was superb, we had no idea what we would be getting as the menu changes seasonally but they double checked if there was anything we didn't like before starting the courses and then we were off. We've eaten in quite a few michellin star restaurants now and there's usually always one dish that one of us isn't keen on, not this time. Genuinely cannot fault the food one bit, some of the dishes/drinks played tricks with your senses too, I really enjoyed the sherbert fountain with liquorice ice cream. Had a good chat with David and the team and we both loved the ethos and style of the restaurant. There wasn't an ounce of snobbishness here, you could wear shorts and a T-Shirt and feel comfortable, equally, you could get dressed up and also not feel over dressed due to the superb way in which they've styled the place. Would I recommend this place to friends, 100%. Would I visit again, absolutely, we are planning to go back later in the year. I would also highly recommend buying the cook book, it's one of the best books we have at home and gives you some great starting blocks to create your own dishes. Keep up the great work team"
