Would not have found this pub by myself, but there is a lot to like. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, real ales and very good food, and even good music (that is not too loud). Very much recommended.

Just popped in for a quick pint but found this pub is great, serving various ales, open feeling inside and commands a good view of Vauxhall pleasure gardens. Didn't have meal this time but will do next time!

Very nice dinner pub next to the Staybridge Suites Hotel. Went twice, once for a drink and the other for dinner and a bottle of wine. Fair prices. Good people. Pleasant environment. Had the burgers. Undercooked (should have told them medium well) but good. Excellent thin fries.

During our visit from the United States, our travel guide suggested this restaurant for dinner. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, with the waitress providing exceptional service. This hidden gem of a pub serves delicious food and was a perfect off-the-beaten-path dining experience.

I stopped by for lunch while out for a walk. The menu was very impressive, and the grilled Caesar Salad with chicken was excellent. They have a great selection of beverages and offer seating options in the garden, indoor, and street side. The service was very accommodating. This place is definitely a keeper.

Except for the company my dinner was utterly horrible. I ordered Caesar salad and it was the worst I have ever had. The salad was room temperature, the pieces of romaine were huge so I had to use a knife and the dressing was soo bland. To be fair the other 3 people seemed to enjoy their meals. If you visit avoid the Caesar salad.

We were staying at the nearby Staybridge (also highly recommended) and came out for dinner one night it was Saturday, so it was steak night. My husband got the steak with chimichurri and really enjoyed it. I had a burger and fries and they were also good. Beer selection was good. People were friendly and helpful, and service good. It felt more relaxed there than our visit to the Rose (a few blocks away). While the menu was small, it was enough for us. Seems to get a lot of local patrons. Overall a good experience and would return, particularly if at the Staybridge.

Absolutely terrible food and experience. No nut roasts left so we agreed to veggie burger patties instead. The patties were vegetable breadcrumb things that arrived soaked in watery gravy which gave them a weird texture and strange taste (we couldn't eat them). Our Yorkshire puddings were black and also inedible. In terms of veg we each had: 1 small potato which was cut into 3 pieces 1 mouth size floret of broccoli some undercooked carrots and green beans. For £18... We asked for our Yorkshires to be replaced and for some extra veg. This did all arrive but we just got marginally less burned Yorkshires and veg that was even more undercooked. I once believed that this restaurant served the best roast in all of London, especially because of their Pork Belly dish. However, my recent visit was extremely disappointing. My partner and I were looking forward to returning, but our experience turned out to be awful. The main reason for this was the change in head chef, which was quite evident. The service was slow, with drinks taking 30 minutes to arrive and our starter being forgotten. The beloved pork belly dish was no longer on the menu, so we settled for beef.
