We enjoyed fantastic fish and chips. Good as, or better than the magpie. Lovely staff, helpfull and cheerful We will be back soon.

Awful experience food was awful. Had to ask multiple times for sauce, multiple times for a drink, multiple times for cream which never came for their very dry fudge cake (waitress was awful). I eat out multiple times a week and never write reviews but honestly Save your time and money DO NOT GO HERE!

Absolutely amazing roast dinner and outstanding service! A massive thank you, we were staying in Pickering for a 65th birthday celebration and booked The Smithy Arms months in advance so we could get the best seat in the house!! The waitresses were very helpful with our many requests for extras. We will certainly come back again if we are in the area

Well we are trying to find a place to have a descent Sunday lunch, we thought we would try this place as we have heard good reviews. I thought the place is decorated lovely, the staff were nice and polite the young waitresses were lovely, I cannot say the food was un tasty but for the price, to only get half a carrot and not a great deal of meat I was disappointed, nice Yorkshire pudding mine never turn out like that…

Having just arrived locally for a week break, we decided to pop in for dinner (I booked during the week before). The interior was lovely and the staff were very friendly. We both had the fish and chips. The portions were a good size and the food was good. Good pub food and decent drinks were definitely needed! The only issue is the parking as the small car park opposite gets quite full, but we parked a bit further down the road and walked back.
