"We were on a canal holiday with Beacon Park Boats, and moored at Llanfoist to look for a pub for early evening meal. We walked down the cycle route from Llanfoist towards Abergavenny and came across The Bridge Inn after a 15 min walk down from the canal. This was the fastest, cheapest and best meal we had out of 5 pubs/cafes visited during our holiday. Lasagne was excellent and crispy bacon on the stacked burger was very tasty. Simple menu, done well, proper pub grub plus baguettes etc. Plenty of tables outside looking over the river and bridge, and inside looked nice too. Location was also particularly handy for canal holidaymakers as the walk back is past Waitrose to pick up supplies."

Called in while visiting at the nearby Hospital. Warm welcome from the bar man and regulars. Good Grolsch lager on Tap.

Popped in for a quick drink while visiting the Abergavenny Food Festival. Very friendly couple running the pub. Good selection of ales from the nearby area and good gin selection including one locally distilled Breacon gin. View menu

We stopped off while walking back from town to the Premier Inn. Sadly food was not being served on the Monday night however we enjoyed a couple of drinks in the sunshine while watching the river run by maybe next time we will time it better and try some grub.

The Bridge has new management called Will and Georgia and they have certainly rung in some improvements since taking over. The best is that the food menu has been reinstated and Sunday lunch with three courses of fabulous. We’d advise booking a table in advance as space is limited but this pub is a great place to relax by the river Usk and Castle Meadows of Abergavenny

I've never been to this pub, but if any welsh emergency services are on/near bridge, then I ring the pub as they have full veiw, for when it safe to cross bridge, once they've gone. Their beer garden looks nice, always full of public. But I do object to their customers blocking the sidewalk with their cars, especially as the pub provides a small car park. Twice a BLACK BMW has blocked the sidewalk, a few weeks ago pouring heavy rain, driver didn't move, sat on my mobility scooter in front of BMW for 30+ minutes, I broke down and had to be rescued because of it. BMW there again today, he did move it, but don't park on sidewalks.
