"Opted that the Bugle were cooking take away food, so decided to order for the Friday evening, only to be informed that the earliest they could serve was 8.30pm.. Being an “Old Person” that is too late for me. So I ordered for Saturday at...5.30pm. After paying over the telephone I arranged to collect at 5.30pm. The food had just been cooked and packec polystyrene containers. On arrival at home all the food was still very hot Normally when chips are placed in polystyrene. Containers they go soggy. But not on this occasion the chips were still hot and crispy. The Bugle has always cooked the crispiest and best chips in the area, and once again they maintain the quality of the cooking. The rest of the dishes had been cooked to the way we like them. The size of the servings would suit most trenchermen, so if you have a small appetite ask the Landlady for a smaller serving or share. You will be well satisfied with your choice. The price is reasonable so do try the new Bugle Horn takeaway service, I was not disappointed and I shall look forward to my weekly Bugle takeaway."

We love this pub. Small and welcoming. Good beer, cider, lager, so I was informed by those drinking them. Shared some chips and sandwiches, great chips.

Really enjoyed our first visit to the Bugle Horn. Sat in the small cosy bar and had great real pub food at a very reasonable cost. The real ale was excellent and they were really proud to make sure it was good. We'll definitely be...back soon. View menu

I have just had one of the best steaks I’ve had in a while at the bugle. It was presented well. And the staff were so welcoming and helpful with my visit. This pub has beautiful traditional decor inside that just brings out the life...of Bassingham. I would definitely recommend to others.

for the first time, as we are new in the opposite, and what a great sound. pub seemed quiet for a Saturday night, but we had a nice, friendly reception. pub has a traditional, cozy feeling with beautiful real fire for a dark and cold January...besides the menu is very good to house made pub grub. three of us all had lasagne, which was great, with fabulous home cooked chips and salat all worth for under £10! very nice service. we will be back!

"We choose this spot because of the many positive reviews. I guess we turned up on a bad day!I have only been introduced to coffee a few years ago despite being in my mid 50’s and really don’t like coffee unless a well made flat white. I travel the world frequently for work and always ask the same question, can you make a flat white? The reason being unless the person is a passionate barista I rarely get a coffee I enjoy. This question clearly upset the lady serving us who ‘rolled her eyes out loud’ by the question and then represented the request to her colleague in a manner that was more like ‘we have a pain in the arse’ than ‘can we make this gentleman a nice coffee. (Yes we overheard).Everything was fine except the flat white was a milky coffee and not something I enjoyed. Not a problem though. I never said a word but when asked at the counter how things were I thought I would say everything was good except the ‘flat white’. Immediately confronted by both in very hostile way was very surprising as I was only answering a question I thought they were interested in hearing I placed a review on their website and their response is a really good example of their attitude. Instead of focusing on service recovery they wanted to blame me and absolve themselves of any responsibility.I of course mentioned this to a few people in Sleaford and surprise surprise was met with very similar responses, ‘we don’t go there anymore as the staff can be very rude’ Looking forward to seeing how the proprietors decide to respond to this one."
