"We were here last week a Party of 4 People. When we ordered drinks my 2 friends got 2 pints which came flat as a Pan Cake had to return. We all had starters which we were all not impressed by. My brie came with 2 small bits cold in middle a few lettuce leafs as a garnish. I had ordered the Pate as Main course. It arrived with 2 small bits of half toasted bread that tasted of oil The Pate well 2 mouthfuls I had to stop eating it. The taste was horrendous. It had a dark black grey outline I left it. Half way through main course a bus load of youngsters arrived into restaurant with a DJ setting up equipment. I asked what was happening The waitress said I don't work here but it's a Fund Raising night. The loud noise was last nail in coffin for us we asked for the bill left. I do not understand why this event was not upstairs in the fully working function room!? We all said we would never be back. That evening when I was getting ready for bed.. I literally had to run to the toilet was Violently ill. All I could taste was the Pate I am sure this was the cause of Food Poisoning. If the chefs in Donaghadee took a leaf from the Chef in Harbour Co The Dee would have Amazing eating establishments. If you can cook better at home why go out spend a fortune... This is why every were is so quiet. Sad to See For the Dee!"

Simply the best. Went on Friday for lunch, we were a party of five, I had the steak and it was to die for. Service was amazing the guy who served us was so friendly and professional. Definitely my favorite restaurant, and I've dined in minchelin star.

Another visit with the family to enjoy fabulous food and service. Our favourite dish wasn’t on the menu no probs the chef will make it specially. Friendly service, great food and drink in lovely surroundings. Can’t wait to go back on our next trip over from Scotland View menu

The Bull and Claw is just excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was top notch. Service excellent. Location spot on. Crab claws highly recommended. Very reasonably priced. And Donaghadee is a super cute lovely town. If you have not been to Donaghadee put it on your bucket list!!!

Very friendly and helpful staff, freshly prepared and delicious food, generous portions, reasonably priced, and warm atmosphere. This venue is a recent discovery and my third visit in two months. My mother is fussy and she personally thanked the chef for her meal a rare tribute! In a post covid world of smaller portions, expensive food and unhelpful staff, the Bull and Claw is a joy to visit.

On arrival first impression was quite good but when seated at our table area was quite cramped with view of open kitchen which was disappointing. There were other free tables for the duration of time we were having our meal so don’t know why they didn’t seat us somewhere more pleasant. Atmosphere is a factor on eating out and I personally wouldn’t want to sit at any of the tables in that area again. Actually felt as if we had gone to the local chip shop. View menu

My wife enjoyed the vegetarian option. The scampi however was absolutely atrocious. For £18 you got seven pieces a chip and a small salad of about four leaves, a mini tomatoe and thin sprinkle of cheese. The batter was not a batter it was a doe and three of the seven pieces were so covered they were like onion rings. To charge £18 for this slop is a sin. I did eat it as my wife detests confrontation of any sort. Had I been alone it would have been sent back.

We came for dinner on a Wednesday evening. We were given menus, to look at whilst we had drinks made. The menu consisted of 3 starters, 3 main, 3 desserts, we asked where the main menu was, as were we’re looking for vegetarian options, to be told we are only serving that menu, so you can have the goats cheese followed by the bean burger. We said we didn’t like the bean burger and were told “sorry that’s the options”. There was a specials menu that was given to us, which had an additional couple of meals, but again no vegetarian. The food we ordered was ok, but not worth a return visit, It could be such a lovely place, but the limited menu, and what seems like lack of interest from the staff...

"We have eaten in Grace Neill many times the food has always been very good and we enjoy the live music. Tonight we booked a table for 4 in the restaurant for dinner and enjoyed lovely starters and main courses. The problem arose when we realised that the table was flooded with water, my husband’s trousers were soaking and my dress could have been rung out. We drew this to the attention of the waitress who went and got the manageress. We suggested that the ice bucket was leaking. The manageress said this was unlikely, held it up in the air and then admitted that it was in deed leaking. She offered me some ‘blue towels’ to dry my dress off and when I declined she offered to take me ‘into the disabled toilet’, which I found rather bizarre and also declined. When the bill came £191) no gesture had been made to compensate for soaking our attire. I took the bill to the girls at the till and asked them to have another look at it, in light of our soaking clothes. The manageress returned to the table, with a new bill, having deducted an amount by way of compensation, for which we were grateful, but then she proceeded to comment that I had been rude to staff. Ironically, we found this comment rather rude in itself and also totally unnecessary. Having admitted that our dining experience was not perhaps 100%, it was rather counter productive to then claim we had been rude. It also further exacerbated our dissatisfaction. A disappointing end to what should have been another lovely meal in our local pub. Perhaps some management training in customer service would be useful."
