"We had a great fathers day lunch at the cardamom club. It was our first time visiting and we were pleasantly surprised. Food was lovely, good sized portions and even made the food mild enough for the kids to eat. We had the mocktails which were incredible. Decor was beautiful. Only downside was we were put onto a table with a pillar jutting to the side so no space for anyone to sit on the chair they placed there but we were with 2 small kids so we huddled around on the sofa. Once our order was taken and food delivered noone came to check on us, or ask if we wanted more drinks or dessert. Overall a fantastic meal and we will be back."

The starters and mains were great. I was truly disappointed with the sizzling brownie we ordered for desserts as a birthday treat. I was ultra sweet and didn't taste fresh at all. Had a weird after taste.

The food was excellent with substantial portions and the service was efficient but not intrusive. It was quite a noisy atmosphere so wouldn’t have been ideal for a romantic meal but overall quite impressed.

We visited here for Father's Day and had an outstanding meal and some equally delicious mocktails. Butter Paneer Masala; Samosa; Chicken Tikka and Chicken Chettinad curry were all delicious. The portions are generous, service prompt and friendly. A service charge is added but only 10% (compared to the 12% you find in town. The bill for four of us came to £100. This place has a lovely, local feel and is just as good, if not better, than some of the more pretentious Indian restaurants you find in town.
