"Going by the previous reviews, we thought we were on a winner here, but they must be evening meals. We called in on a Saturday for lunch. The place was empty and should have sounded alarm bells! While the elderly gentleman was polite and friendly I wonder if our experience was down to him or a kitchen not reading the orders properly. There were 4 of us. The chicken curry was ok, the chicken stripes were nice although they arrived with veg when no veg were requested. The problems were the roast beef meals. Both were ordered without veg, and with mash potatoes. The order was read back 2 times. One of the beef meals was brought with champ!! My sister was nearly sick, as she took a bite without really looking at it, as we were talking and she had ordered mash. He said there was no plain mash!!! Who has champ with roast beef!! Any chips were finally brought as she had nearly finished her meal. Both roast beef were on the fatty side and neither of my family enjoyed theirs. Then comes the time to pay!! He could not work the card machine and we had to find the cash between us. It's as well we had it. As it's in the middle of nowhere. Needless to say we will not be back. Maybe evening meals are better but avoid lunches."

Went for a Sunday lunch, was nearly empty. Served quickly and politely. Food I had was amazing (the chicken supreme) and good for the money.

We were staying just down the road and came a couple of evenings for a drink. Tiny bar frequented by a handful of regulars, all of whom were exceptionally friendly and made us feel really welcome. Thank you Tom, Pat and Eddie for your hospitality and company. This was the highlight of our trip to Northern Ireland.

Went for a meal here tonight. Staff gave the impression they didnt want to be there. Waitress took our order didnt bother telling us they had a steak deal on. We were told by the only other customer in the restaurant after we ordered. The food was not great. Ordered garlic potato as our side and we got chips in garlic butter. The only good thing was the Guinness. It was our first and definitely our last time there.

"We have eaten in Grace Neill many times the food has always been very good and we enjoy the live music. Tonight we booked a table for 4 in the restaurant for dinner and enjoyed lovely starters and main courses. The problem arose when we realised that the table was flooded with water, my husband’s trousers were soaking and my dress could have been rung out. We drew this to the attention of the waitress who went and got the manageress. We suggested that the ice bucket was leaking. The manageress said this was unlikely, held it up in the air and then admitted that it was in deed leaking. She offered me some ‘blue towels’ to dry my dress off and when I declined she offered to take me ‘into the disabled toilet’, which I found rather bizarre and also declined. When the bill came £191) no gesture had been made to compensate for soaking our attire. I took the bill to the girls at the till and asked them to have another look at it, in light of our soaking clothes. The manageress returned to the table, with a new bill, having deducted an amount by way of compensation, for which we were grateful, but then she proceeded to comment that I had been rude to staff. Ironically, we found this comment rather rude in itself and also totally unnecessary. Having admitted that our dining experience was not perhaps 100%, it was rather counter productive to then claim we had been rude. It also further exacerbated our dissatisfaction. A disappointing end to what should have been another lovely meal in our local pub. Perhaps some management training in customer service would be useful."
