"Popped in here yesterday in search on a non-alcoholic beverage as there was a distinct lack of these at bunkfest. It was very busy because of the nature of the weekend which is completely understandable, however what I thought was rather off was the attitude of the bartender (potential owner) shouting across the bar at customers to organise themselves otherwise they wouldn’t get served, especially as there was a distinct lack of signs showing people where they should be standing. Maybe another staff member would have been helpful? This pub was clearly benefitting from the event outside and I felt the attitude wasn’t fitting for the overall atmosphere. Left without buying anything in the end."

Situated in a lovely spot opposite parkland this is a welcoming venue. The food is okay but the greek food was disappointing. The stiffado was dry, the Greek salad had too many leaves. Service was prompt and friendly. View menu

This pub is even prettier than the photographs suggest and inside is quirky and fun. Four adults, three dogs and a small baby with all the equipment is probably not a restauranteur's ideal for Sunday lunch but we were accommodated effortlessly. First up was a bowl of water for the dogs. Then a pint of ESB sets one up for anything! We all enjoyed our food and the sticky toffee pudding was much liked. Will certainly go there again.

Boris Johnson's Fan Club. Sat at the pub having a quiet drink with friends, a couple of tables from a another group, one of whom was the landlords partner. Their chat was about Boris Johnson moving to a local village. The landlord's partner was arguing with people about BJ being a wonderful man and how people misunderstood him. She continued to spout BJ rhetoric for sometime. After everything that gross man has done I won't be drinking at that pub again. A decent setting next to a park and reasonable beer. Not nice enough though to have to put up with BJ supporters! View menu

Lovely pub, sat next to large open green park. Ideal if you have a dog or youngsters with energy. We went on the off chance and were met and served by Richard and Lauren both were excellent and very friendly. We went on the recommendation of a Sunday Roast, wife Roast Turkey, me Roast Lamb. Meals came out piping hot, with extra veg and Gravy. All tasted exceptionally nice and nothing left on any plate. For pudding my wife had a Mr Whippy ice cream cone with a flake. I went with American Pancakes served with maple syrup. Again all were first class and all were polished off.

What a great find this little gem was! Perched on the edge of the Kinecroft, a lovely green space in the ancient market town of Wallingford, the landlord of this traditional little pub could not have been more helpful with our group of senior citizens! Friendly , patient and accommodating, he and his chef served freshly cooked food , piping hot, and tasty, as if we were the easiest customers in the world.! The portions were hearty, reasonably priced, and the range terrific! A whole range of Greek food, including moussaka, proved very popular, while the pub grub on the other half of the menu was delicious! We shall certainly visit again!

"We usually love coming to Cafe Rouge in Henley, always a treat for us and we are always looking forward to it. However the most recent visit was awful and it’s been going downhill over our last coupes of visits. We booked a table for my father in laws birthday. Upon being seated, we were informed that 3 of the main course dishes were unavailable.. pretty much half of the ‘mains’ options. We don’t come to Cafe Rouge for Burgers or salad! We opted for 3 portions of Mussels as had them here before and they’re very good! Mother in law just had pate as there was nothing else she wanted. These were possibly the worst mussels we’ve ever had. You could tell they weren’t fresh (cooked from frozen for sure) and there was barely any sauce in the pot! Usually they are flavourful and abundant in sauce! No check back was performed by the manager on duty..it was a quiet Monday so wasn’t exactly run off his feet. So we couldn’t alert him. Even upon clearing we weren’t ask how our meal was! Just asked if we had finished. We decided to mention they were awful to which the manager told us he would inform the kitchen. When he came back to finish clearing, my partner asked if they were frozen or fresh mussels, to which the manager replied yes, they are frozen. Wasn’t expecting that but you could totally tell! They tasted like cardboard! We had a coffee and a pudding and to be fair to the manager he didn’t charge us for one portion of mussels and the coffees we ordered. The Bill was certainly not worth what we had. Didn’t leave a tip, which we never normally do, but the service was non existent. Manager was more interested in what was on his phone. Won’t be rushing back"
