"after the prebooking and with today's Mother's Day, our family were very excited to book lunch,It was a past since we were all together, so Mother's Day should have been extra special. it was however for all wrong reasons,...Insepid karvery meal with the thinnest cuts of meat imaginable was the first, twenty minutes later a bowl of luke warm mac and cheese comes without side, this was sent back and 20 minutes after that the mac and cheese was returned,t minutes after that the dirty klecker was very prepared. up to this point we were still 2 dishes, my mother and my sons had not arrived yet. fish and chips were next to a few 20 minutes later, cold chips. then my son was handed over a piece of nut roast 10 minutes later and said to go his own veg on the carvery, now the whole idea, eating out and celebrating as family was to have a relaxed meal together and having fun, that was anything but. it was terrible, extremely terrible and ruined the day,Emma was excellent and apologized proffusely. I wish I had read the reviews before the hand, because it seems that our experience was not uncommon,Staff seemed to be lacking in enthusiasm, and the kitchens well knows what happened there today, prevailed in authority. it was shocking and if a place posting to mothering on Sunday then there should be no excuse as they should be well prepared and know how many are expected. I can only suspect that the chefs were without mothers, as I am sure that they would not serve their families and their mothers as müll without care, no presentation and no quality control, it was a mistake to go and a scandal that they human hard earned money and ruined such a special day."

As a local resident, I frequent this Pub/Restaurant often. I have yet to find a Carvery meal priced lower anywhere else in Wakefield. For less than £4.00 per person, you can enjoy a clean and satisfying meal.

The carvery restaurant offers excellent value and has friendly and approachable staff. They were able to accommodate our large group of adults with learning difficulties, providing lovely and helpful service.

if they cannot cook chips, then they go out of the kitchen. ordered sampi and chips and burger and chips. scampi was good, but burger was so fat. very creepy to eat. chips were not cooked. the limit is raw. Cold Limp chips. must have been put into the frit for seconds. the woman said the last time she saw everything that limp was the last time I was naked. I couldn't eat them. from all stone houses we were also the largest.

I usually don't write reviews, but lordy couldn't do for this. we came around 18 clock for a karvarie. the meat was dry I speak really dry! veg wise there were sweet mais, vomiting, frying potatoes and something that is possible, like maische. hasn't...I have at all called, but if they like pasta, they are happy as they don't have Mac cheese or tomato pasta with their carvary. I mean what? where is broccoli or the flower cabbage? the only reason I ate it was because I am very pregnant and was extremely hungry! but if I weren't, I would have asked for a refund right away. I would not recommend this place at all. in that I would go so far to say it was the worse carvary I've ever had! will not...

Utterly diabolical! Arrived as they were opening. Advised they were still putting out foods, paid and took a seat. Wish we hadn’t bothered! Firstly no utensils to serve the food with, the black pudding resembled coal, the beans and tinned tomatoes were super runny, the...hash browns were barely warm, no fried bread (apparently cleaning down the fryers), the additionally charged for mushrooms were salty, no jam only orange marmalade (supplier issue), no red or brown sauce (supplier issue), only brown bread (supplier issue). Filter coffee was like mud. And no continental offerings or cereals. Only good point was the breakfast pizza tasted nice but as it wasn’t cut properly it looked a mess on...

"My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes sat on an injera (a slightly sour flat bread made from teff flour) with a further six neatly rolled injeras and four small chickpea flat breads. Every dish was very well spiced and made with care. Delightful and moreish. By the time we had eaten the whole plate we were nicely full but it did not feel heavy. We rounded the evening with hot drinks of a Shay (a North African spiced tea) and an Abyssinian coffee. The coffee (and popcorn) is not cheep at £9.95, however, this is by far the best coffee I 've ever tasted and a must for any coffee lover. We were informed that they roast the beans with spices in-house. Another sign of their dedication to present an authentic experience delivered with passion. Thoroughly recommended. Some additional information: 1. The restaurant is vegetarian and gluten free. 2. We had to pay a £20 no-show deposit when making the online table booking the day before, although, this has become, understandably, quite common for independent restaurants."
