a great place, quite beautiful and in an amazing location....we have recently seen at the concert hall henge and had one of the best nights ever!

Top production very popular pub. 9 genuine ales and good selection of keg, craftsmanship,cider and bottle. Eating is excellent. highly recommended

We did a taxi run and stopped for an early evening drink on the return journey. Great gardens and lots of space between tables outside. Dogs are allowed too. There's plenty of patron only parking behind the pub if needed.

best pub in preston. great atmosphere, good location, close to the park, great eating always and desserts. some items on the menu are very beautifully decorated, they have a good cook. outside the garden is also great. big bonus for dogs also. often visited, both in cold and warm seasons.

Chilled in the beer garden in the sun. Great location and sunny for most of the day. They often have live music at weekends too. Beer is good There’s a long wait on food a lot of the time but we were aware so ordered immediately. Very much pub food but the location makes up for it. We will be back soon to try their Sunday dinners!

I tried several vegan dishes, and unfortunately, they were quite disappointing. The cauliflower head was completely flavorless and had an overwhelming burnt taste. I couldn't eat it and ended up sending it back, settling for just chips instead. It's 2023, and it shouldn't be so difficult to create a delicious vegan dish. It felt like the menu was crafted by a chef who either dislikes vegan food or has never even tasted it themselves.

We visited The Continental on Friday night to see a tribute band. We arrived quite early and, although it was busy, we managed to find a good spot to sit without too much trouble. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The show took place in the back building, which was a great setting for the event. The band performed exceptionally well, and everyone had a fantastic time. The accessible toilet was easy to locate and navigate, which was a plus.

I found the sausage dish a bit confusing, as they resembled more of a plant-based croquette than traditional sausages. My husband mentioned that his dahl was quite good, though. The flower balls had unique shapes but didn’t come with a dipping sauce, which was a bit disappointing. Everything was beautifully presented, and despite the pub being very busy, the service was commendable. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, and I noticed a significant improvement in the food quality since our last visit in the summer.

There are numerous excellent vegan options available, and the restaurant is conveniently located near Miller and Avenham Parks, as well as the railway station and the city center of Preston. They provide seating indoors, outdoors, and in a winter garden. The menu features vegan starters, main dishes, and desserts that go beyond typical offerings, showcasing truly creative and delicious cuisine. Today, I had the tofu in cedar batter with chunky chips, complemented by a basil purée and lemon curd dip. It was absolutely delightful!
