"I visited here with a friend. This is an old traditional pub. The menu choice is extensive. I had the pate for starters, the toast was good, lovely and crispy and the pate was divine. I want the side salad recipie and the dressing. My friend had the tiger prawn which were lovely. Could of done with two more. But maybe thats just me being greedy. I had lamb shank... its was succulent and I loved the thick cut chips which were cooked to perfection. My friend enjoyed his lasagne..and i must admit it looked tasty. Dessert i had the orange/chocolate sponge...sponge was soft exactly what you expect, not sure if it had enough flavours for me. But it was nice. My friend had the honeycomb cheesecake and that was very tasty. I really enjoyed the food. I have got to visit again. The prices were very reasonable. My friend would not show me the bill, but just to give you an idea the pate was £3.95 king prawns £4.95 The lamb shank was £12.95 A 10oz steak was £15.99 etc.. I really loved this place... it had character unlike these mordern chains. You could see brass on the fireplace along with copper pots. The toilets were clean, i would say the toilets could do with an update, however thus may take away from the character of the pub. To me ckean is more important. If you are in the area, pay this place a visit!"

I recently visited this restaurant for dinner with friends who live in the area. It is a traditional pub that serves delicious food. I highly recommend trying the steak with blue cheese sauce.

Have been to the Inn twice in a month! That's a record. Visited with friends and then with son and partner after raving about the Sunday lunch. He was also impressed. Don't take my word for it try it. View menu

Came here today for Sunday dinner last minute. They squeezed us in and we were not disappointed! Dinner was piping hot and plenty of choice of veg. Nice simple menu with a good choice of starters desserts. My husband couldn't get over how good the pint was (he said I had to mention that! Ha Will be returning :

Went there for Sunday lunch recently. I cannot fault the food for taste and quantity and the surroundings are comfortable and clean. Very busy on a Sunday. We booked for 12md, we’re served at 1pm and advised that they needed the table for 2pm, so be aware of this but the food was lovely! Will go again but probably at 2pm.

For our wedding anniversary meal with our family, we decided to go to the Corner House. It's a bit off the beaten path, but we received a warm welcome. The menu had a good variety of options to choose from. Our food arrived hot and delicious. The standout for us were the chips, which were excellent and we were even given extra. With five people dining and all enjoying a three-course meal, the total came to £120, which we found to be quite reasonable. View menu

Been here a few times for Sunday lunch. Always a really good /tasty meal and always plentiful. Waitress service is always excellent. The only down point (and my fault as we’re always last minute booking) there’s a few tables by the bar which are directly under the bars television. I know the hardened drinkers congregating there are watching the TV above us but still a little uncomfortable. Especially when they get a little rowdy. Highly recommended by avoid those two tables

We arrived at the restaurant at 2:10 on Monday, just 20 minutes before they stop serving food at 2:30. We were left waiting by the door as staff walked past us. The woman at the bar inquired if we had a reservation, which we did not, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. She informed us that they close at 3 and it would take 10 minutes to take our order, leaving us with no time to eat. This lack of customer service was completely unacceptable. It seems we are not the only ones who have been treated poorly due to their strict closing time. We will not be recommending or returning to this establishment.

"So came here last night 13th oct. 9 of us 2 of which 2 young kids. Had starter , calamari this was ok, sauce was nice. Main was lovely which was lasagne really quite tasty it came with chips which were nothing special if im honest, i ordered a side of garlic bread with it which was nice, The host was a nice guy very chatty, the staff seemed a little clumsy if im honest, just as we sat down a tray of drinks went down the back of my sister because the waitress wasn't looking what she was doing although accidents do happen so no biggy, although I will say nothing was offered! No extra drinks, a free starter, nothing!!! This brings me on to the cost. Not much beer choice at all, consisting of draught peroni which was are you sitting down) £6.50 a pint! So I ordered a bottle of bishops finger which i thought was a 500ml bottle, it didn't say on the menu the size of the drink which i think it should have, Well the bottle came and it was a 330ml bottle!! £4.70 for a 330ml bottle!!! im sorry but thats to much, come on guys. We all had a starter and a main with dessert each, i had the newyork cheesecake, which was ok but tasted abit like something frozen, didn't seem home made to me anyway. The Total bill came to just over £400!!! £60 of which was a service charge i was told by someone on the table, but the owner has now said that there was no service charge so if this is the case then i apologise), we were a decent size group but you know when you've gone somewhere and feel that the cost is just too much. Nice restaurant but too expensive imo."
