"Very happy with The Cowper arms, but not happy with Open Table as the restaurant did not have my booking when I arrived despite me receiving a confirmation email from Open Table. I shall book direct in future as it was just lucky they could accommodate us. This meant that they also had no knowledge of the special occasion we were celebrating."

Good quality food on a lovely setting. I sat near a wonderful log burning fire on a very cold evening. The restaurant was very busy with numerous Christmas parties going on, but the food and service was still excellent. View menu

Firstly when we turned up we were told the booking hadn’t been registered and they were actually fully booked. Luckily they were able to squeeze us in. Otherwise the atmosphere was very good the food was very nice however the service was a bit slow.

Always pleasant eating here. Food and service are superb and that’s why I go back time after time. Only point to make was the led lighting was shining from the ceiling right into my eyes. Could adjust so that the tables are in more of a natural light.
