"The restaurant offers great food, excellent beer, and service with a smile! My friends and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after a long walk. We were warmly welcomed, despite not being locals in the small village. We felt right at home immediately. We stayed for a few drinks and enjoyed a delicious meal. The food was fresh and flavorful. The owners went above and beyond to help us, even lending us a charger. If I lived in the village, I would be proud to have this place as my local spot. Well done to the team for their fantastic work. I highly recommend this restaurant."

We had a wonderful family dinner at a cozy pub last night. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The lasagna was especially tasty.

Great to see the pub full of people last night. Pie night is back and a success. Great food, lovely staff and a proper village vibe about the place.

We had a wonderful evening at The Cricketers with delicious steak and mushroom pie, and the service was excellent. The restaurant has definitely regained its mojo. View menu

The poor girl on the bar was put out only 17 and left on the bar on her own bless her. she was lovely and polite but the management shocking, really gone down hill. service slow and food cold.

Finally the pubs under new management. It’s being run by locals who knew how good the pub used to be. They seem to be listening and the first act was pie nights back on a Thursday. Beef and Guinness pie was lovely with a good selection of veg. Nice to see the pub being a hive of activity again.

Popped in for a drink and ended up staying to have a Sunday lunch which was delicious the sides that came with the roast was a surprise I didn’t expect that . The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was good plus the pub was nice and clean so will definitely be back .so would highly recommend a visit… View menu

After four months of this normally excellent pub being run without any care or attention, it now has a greatly needed new management team! It’s clean and welcoming, with smiling faces behind the bar. All the pumps are working properly for a decent pint. Already getting back to how it used to be, we were happy to go back!! Coffee and amazing cakes on the bar, the ever popular pie night is back and Sunday roasts are in the menu.. Anyone who had a recent bad experience, I’d suggest you come back for a much nicer experience.

After a great experience last Christmas, I was looking forward to a meal out here with friends. What a disappointment! Very limited menu because of imminent change in management though no mention was made of this at the time of booking. Slow service, mediocre food, no ice in drinks ice machine apparently broken mixed up orders, coffee slopped in saucers, non too subtle stacking of chairs on tables and turning off of music towards the end of the evening. The new management have an uphill climb ahead of them to recover from this disaster!

"The Museum Inn, located in Farnham, Nr. Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 8DE We booked late on Friday night and only one room was available so it was meant to be! We arrived around 5pm and were greeted by friendly staff, shown to our room The Catch and made a reservation for dinner, luckily they still had spaces for dinner but it is advised to book in advance. Lovely spacious room and bathroom, kettle, teas, coffees and bottled water supplied. I have to say I fell in love with the hand wash and hand cream, I have already purchased some for home, the brand is called Bramley and the scent is Lavender, Geranium and Petitgrain. The bed is probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in that is not our own, soft feather pillows that were just right! Dinner was a three course meal and it was delicious, we took 2 hours to eat but never felt rushed or like we were waiting too long between courses. Starters: Ham hock terrine with sourdough toast and Prawn, potato and crayfish fishcakes. Mains: Burger and Steak Ale pie Desserts: Chocolate Brownie with cherry sorbet. Biscoff donuts with pumpkin pie ice cream Drinks: Poretti lager and Cherry cocktail. Breakfast: Eggs Royale and Smashed avocado, poached egg and bacon, absolutely scrumilicious! Big thanks to Amanda who served us this morning and checked us out. Highly recommend staying and eating here and we will 100% be back again! Safe travels! The Allsebrooks x"
