"Pleasant country pub with polite and friendly staff. The food here is excellent. I had a steak and ale pie with veg and my wife had the roast if the day, they were deliciously cooked with plenty of veg. I also had a blackberry and apple crumble with custard, old fashioned dessert and big portion. This was a great value for money meal and would recommend this place for a nice meal."

Stopped for lunch. Menu was expansive enough to offer choice to fit you pocket, IIRC main meals approx £10-25. Included a number of home made dishes. Lovely food, definitely one to re-visit.

This restaurant is a cozy and welcoming spot after a 5 hour drive to catch the ferry. The staff was friendly and engaging, and the food was hot and delicious. We hope to make this a regular stop on our visits to Holland!

We love this Pub. Their Sunday Roast Dinner is the best, the Apple Crumble is delicious. The staff are always very friendly helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. It's a lovely traditional country Pub, in our opinion the best in the area. We never go anywhere else for a Sunday Roast, as they can't be beaten.

This restaurant is one of the best places to stop and enjoy a meal, especially if you are taking the boat to or from Harwich. On Tuesdays, they offer a special deal with 2 pounds off appetizers and desserts - what a bargain! We had a delicious three-course meal for the price of two, and they serve until 10 o'clock. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is friendly.
