We had to wait a while for food but in such lovely cosy surroundings, it didn’t matter at all.

once at home to the famous hemingway and dylan, this pub has the old world charm. outside the terrace seating is fabulous in summer only with view of the river. walls have the notions of the compositions. eating was good, but I have to give it to the stage. must be in london

this beautiful and cozy pub offers them the choice of seats in a couch in front of the fireplace or on a sunny day to sit outdoors and enjoy the beautiful view of the river thames. we can be there for hours and it really feels like you could be more. in any case a place to go!

Hidden Gem. The Dove is a great place to hang out, particularly on the riverside terrace and has a cosy, well-organised layout inside. The range of drinks is sufficient and the food is great pub fare. It's popular with the local residents, so book ahead if you want a table. Good times to be had here. View menu

this anonymous little tenderness refers to the British romantic romantic romantic elinor glyn (1864-1943), who made erotic fiction popular, but it may also be more famous by charles ii, from which she had two sons. it is said that pretty, spiritual nell and the Merry King tries and in this riverside gas house in hammersmith, known from the 18th century as the dove.

I went here for a coffee on Sunday and couldn't belive how busy the place was. I asked the lovely girl behind the bar if I could make a resavation and she said 'I can get you in but I won't be for an hour can I take your number and call you when your table us ready I have never had such good service from a pub before. We did get a call and had lunch to which I have to say was the best pub Sunday lunch I have ever had. And at 13.95 it's well worth it

the location of this pub is what they keep going back. otherwise it's just a regular pub. I felt so happy to have the seat outside and right up. they need to be a bit vigilant to grasp this, as they do not take any reservations for the outside seats. the hopes are wonderful. they can change the sunset and the colors change easily and mix from orange to pink to lavender. Of course, the beautiful hammersmith bridge is not to be missed. I would rate this as a perfect recreational date place. eating is common pub food, but certainly fresh. View menu

The Dove is a lovely intimate pub but what makes it so great is its location. It is on the Thames and has a fantastic view. It would be perfect if you are having a walk by the river and fancy a drink The atmosphere is good and The Dove has a really nice, cosy interior. If it is pleasant enough to sit on the terrace then it is well worth it to see the picturesque surroundings and the boats passing by It is on the expensive side, but worth it for the beautiful view and location. It would be great for casual drinks with friends or family.

This pub won my heart yesterday. To the extend that we spent two hours in the afternoon there enjoying wine with a view and made a booking for dinner for the same day. Apparently The Dove is super old with about 350 years of history. There is a tiny pub room near the entrance which is officially the smallest pub room in the world, you can see the certificate of Guinness record confirming that. Good was great, service is above all expectations, amazing vibe, completely full in the evening. View is breathtaking. A must do when in London!

"Having been to the Phoenix several times and I believe, this to be my second average review of the food and service, you 'd think they would have taken heed, but clearly not. Firstly, like most top end restaurants in London, they are reserving the right to charge for no shows £20 per head). But, what they are also doing, which is very unfair, is charging you for cancellations within 24 hours of the booking at £10 per head. If one or more of our friends had fallen ill over night it 's the flu season at the moment), they would have been were forced to go for an expensive average Sunday lunch, whilst spreading their germs to the other diners. It also poses the question, what would some do if you book a table less than 24 hours like we did) and then decide to cancel? The excuse that orders for food have already been placed doesn 't really hold water. The Sunday menu forces you to order a minimum of 2 courses at £34 per head. Some of the top London restaurants are charging less for far more opulent Sunday roasts e.g. the Jugged Hare at the Barbican). The Sunday lunch served was simply very average and not value for money. Finally, why are the desserts here, always consistently so bad? I ordered a baked cheesecake and got cream squirted on a piece of cake. When I asked what I had been served, I was told it was chef 's interpretation of a cheesecake. The menu clearly stated baked cheesecake. Not even in my wildest dreams can you interpret a baked cheesecake as a piece of cake with creamed squirted on it! This was promptly returned and replaced with a vile chocolate tart, with pastry so hard I couldn 't cut into it without the fear of smashing the plate it was served on. The chocolate was over salted and the chantilly cream served with it unsweetened. Save your money, go elsewhere."
