"Four of us dined at The Farm Inn on Friday evening booking an outside table. The service and atmosphere was brilliant. I am a local and have visited many times over the years. On this occasion the food was good in general however the portion/pricing on the pea courgette fritters is nonsensical! It costs £15.95 as a main or £8.95 as a starter. For our starters since we were pretty hungry, we ordered it as a main alongside a main portion of the aubergine and tofu bao buns and the poke bowl. When the food arrived we were perplexed. There were four of the aubergine and tofu bao buns, which is what I would expect for a main. However there were only three for the fritters, and the fritters themselves are small in size. I asked our server if the order was correct, as it looked more of a starter than a main. The server advised that she did place the order as a main but would check with the kitchen staff. She soon returned to advise that the starter portion has two fritters and the main has three. I gave a puzzled look as the maths makes no sense. If you ordered it as a starter it then means it is £4.48 per fritter £8.95/2) but ordering it as a main would be £5.32 per fritter £15.95/3). The aubergine and tofu bao buns are exactly the same price and four arrived as a main which makes sense when two would come as a starter. We later ordered as mains the mushroom and aubergine pizzas which were tasty and the gnocchi, which was way too doughy but the flavours were interesting....When the bill arrived I brought up the portion/pricing issue with the fritters to the server and added I am disappointed to be paying this part of the bill when I am not happy about it all. She said she would give feedback and said it was completely understandable. I would generally feel inclined to speak to the manager however since my father was with me and suffers from severe anxiety I knew that by doing so would completely ruin the evening. Overall it meant that an evening which otherwise would have been enjoyable since our server was lovely, the atmosphere was great, and in general the food was good, meant we left feeling unnecessarily ripped off! :"

Just had our Christmas meal ,a great starter,and then a Christmas carvery with a generous sized desert the service was great too,would highly recommend this pub with a great atmosphere

We had a fabulous meal last night. We shared the nachos with pulled pork, chicken wings with hot sauce and the croquettes. I chose the grilled cod which was delicious. Everything perfect but the wine by the glass needs to be chilled.

Haven't been here for a while. They have created covered outdoor areas, which are great until the sun comes out, then the temperature rises. No two-for one pizzas like there used to be, which is disappointing. Like the other pubs in this chain, prices are on the high side for what you get.

Almost always good service here from well trained, helpful, friendly staff. The menu has been truncated over the years, but there are usually some better than average offerings on the special or regular menu. I hope they continue to change these often for regular customers. The drinks are of good quality also, but the wine list asks too much for the vintages offered. Recommended.

What a hidden beauty! I will start on the resturant first. Amazing decor inside, very spacious with lots of different smaller areas. Large Christmas tree in the bar area. Food was tasty. The only reason 4 stars were given as they had forgot two ingredients on two separate pizzas. We then went to the bar next door and sat next to the log fire. Very homely and we will definitely be coming back.

The farm never fails to hit the spot. It was a pleasure to be back. The outside and inside areas are beautiful. The staff are so great and a credit to you. The social distancing measures work well and were unintrusive. The food is always the star of the show here and I was so excited when it arrived because I knew it would be deliscious and it looked gorgeous too. My rib eye was cooked to perfection and my friends miso cod was stunning, so much flavour! (Hats off to the chef/s) Lots of variety on the menu for dishes without meat. We will be back again and again and again! This place rocks!

Very nice place : beautiful decoration, friendly atmosphere, different areas with enough space between tables (so not noisy) and very nice terrace The staff was welcoming, smiley and efficient. The service was quick but not too much (perfect) Concerning the food, we did like it. Various choices on the menu for starters and mains. Pizzas are homemade, they have a real pizza oven. And they are really good, bases are crusty and delicious. We did like the baked Camembert served with delicious bread. Not fully convinced by the Mediterranean plate, merguez koftas and tzatziki’s were good but the rest had nothing special The same for west coast nachos, good but basic.
