"The Fox Hounds was recommended to us as a place to have a decent roast. Not sure if it was an off day for The Fox, but unfortunately we didn’t receive the tasty, good quality roast we were hoping for. We received our meat...and Yorkshire pudding etc a while before the veg, so had to remind the waiter to bring them out after about 5 minutes. The meat was overdone to the point it was grey in colour and tough like leather. The yorkshire was over cooked and dry, and the roast potatoes were both burnt and under cooked at the same time quite an achievement we thought. No seasoning on anything really. The gravy wasn’t bad and the soup for a starter was rather good! The table next to us had a similar experience and didn’t finish their meals either and still no offer from staff to rectify an obvious and apparent dissatisfaction with the meals. All things considered a crappy roast, with the potatoes being amongst the worst we’ve ever had. We like to compare a roast to a Toby carvery as a bench mark and the Fox fell well short. The quest for the perfect Roast continues…"

Four of us went for a meal last night in the Dome. The food and service was faultless nothing was too much trouble.

we approach the team to see if we could rent a part of the garden for a private function. there were 50 of us, and they were more than mine. they gave us special food on the day and. even the opposite decorated for us free. the large Marquee/Tented area was perfect for what we needed. the staff on the day were attentive and very helpful, and the whole party went very well. I will definitely use it again!

we hired one of their outside domes for a meal and it was excellent. the meal times were all delivered in a very good time and the quality and portion size was excellent. the waiter we had was very attentive without being too intrusive. the dome...has a Bluetooth speaker so that we can play our own melodies and a heating, so the things should be a bit cool, they can have warmth. we had designed the door for the largest part and pushed up only later than the outside temperature stopped a little. would recommend to them misunderstood if they wanted something else.

A huge disappointment . Having eaten at this pub before and enjoyed a wonderful gluten free meal . My friend booked a table for two for today at 12:15 . The pub opens at 12 . I had driven over an hour to spend time...with my friend over what we thought would be a wonderful gluten free lunch . We arrived , lights were on but the door was locked … we phoned but no one answered the door …we walked round the building but no sign of life . No note left on the door Nothing ! We left at 12:40 and went down the road and had a wonderful meal at another pub . My friend phoned this evening and was told the pub was open and our reservation had been cancelled . Really ? Such poor customer service .

we were in the pub on Sunday night, we were in the apartment with view of the entire swindon, beautiful, was pleasantly surprised by the view, and beautiful decking area available, and to enjoy bubbles. eating was fantastic that we're hunting him. manager special bbq and it was very delicious. all cooked by james. the dame at the bar that greeted us, so beautiful we had the most pleasant stay with them, and I would not hesitate to stay back, so honest people, if they want to come by or stay with them, then do as they would be so welcome. and they would have a pleasant time with fantastic eating. So finally it was eating fantastic, good fantastic, manager up and beyond. definitiw will be back... View menu

Perhaps unfortunate but we were there on an extremely cold night in December 21 bar staff were not expecting us, the Dome had not been pre heated, the heater was inadequate for the space, each time the ‘door’ was opened we were back to...sub zero temperatures, we sat there in our coats on hard wooden chairs eating at a slanting table with a damp tablecloth and condensation dripping on us! So morale of the story check the weather for your booking as that’s roughly what it will be in the dome/tent. Disappointing that a lot of the food menu choices were not available along with only ONE choice of red wine. Overall a truly miserable experience. On the bright side the waiter did everything he cou...

I was with a group of 10 on Saturday. We were given a table in a draughty lean to that would have been ok for 8 people. There was a bench on one side marked out for 5 people but only 4 could squash in...so 6 of us were on the other side. Terrible trying to move arms and elbows to eat. The meals all appeared to be £14. My fish and chips were OK but most were unhappy with their meal. Looked for pasta and meat in the lasagne but it was mostly tomatoes covered in some cheese. Two sausages, some mash and peas was not worth £14 There was live music but could only be heard in the main restaurant. We left after the meal and the band sounded great as we were walking out. £14 for mediocre food would h...

The crust was perfectly crisp with just the right amount of chew, and the simple yet flavorful toppings of fresh tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil created a symphony of tastes. It was a classic done right, and a testament to the quality of ingredients used at Fireaway. The garlic and herb dip that I recieved alongside it paired beautifully with the crust, adding an extra layer of flavor that complemented the pizza perfectly. They also have other tempting dips, including a buttermilk ranch that I 'm eager to try next time. While I haven 't yet had the chance to try their other offerings, the quality of the pizza and the excellent service I experienced make me eager to return and explore the rest of the menu.
