"my wife and I and two more couples went for the first time in the graze last night (10/04/22). eating was ok, the service average, but the reason I feel obliged to do this is because what happened. we ordered the net when we were asked. first when we were ready and the same with the desert, but we were asked to leave our table and eat in the bar as they needed the table for the next cover. we led to a table in a bar near the beginning, which was a thorough road. they took a desert and our three coffees of the bill, but that did little to be honest. I am 55 and was never asked to leave a table for another party. I'll never go there again and not our friends. we will also publish this terrible experience on facebook."

"an absolute jewel of a pub, so I enjoy table lunch as very popular, and I can see why. the personal was so passionate and the service could not be failed. the lunch menu was filled with traditional homemade meals and the 4 of us had different dishes and each fabulous. Of course, the selection of the local beer ales was not disappointed and the entire ambiente and the location of the pub was great. if they are ever in this area or as we are, please fall at this place an attempt to give them not to be disappointed. thanks to the staff and the chef for a great lunch."

"Planning a wedding brings out the darkest side of any bride. Its stressful and hardwork....I on the other hand was very lucky to have Charlotte and The Waveny team to take this pressure off me during the wedding planning process. The team went above and beyond to make our day perfect, seamless and amazing.....including carrying some flower pedastals down from the church which until I had to return them today had no idea how heavy they actually were!! Had I of I never would of asked. The can do attitude Charlotte and The Waveny team have is what every bride and groom need. Even with me throwing spanners in the works, asking if I could change last minute the timings of the wedding high tea which was made to happen. Every worry/hiccup eased, even with my worries regarding rain as we were walking down from the church. To which Charlotte responded with and if it does I will be running up to walk you down with an umbrella My friends and family had a wondeful day and blown away by the beautifully decorated rooms, wonderful food and service. We were complimented on venue choice all evening! My list of thanks and compliments to Charlotte, Glen,headchef, kitchen staff, bar staff, waiting staff, housekeeping and even to the friendly night porter who also saved the day is endless. My big day was made very big by The Waveny and is without doubt Suffolks top wedding venue!! See you soon and again many many thanks Mr Mrs MacTavish"

"The girl behind the bar was very rude. As soon as we arrived she asked what name the table was booked under and repeated it back incorrectly. She then asked what we would like to drink. My partner asked for a becks, which was served in a bierra moretti glass. I asked for a house white wine was told they didn’t have a house white. She then reeled off eight names of wine, all white. I said I’d have a Sauvignon to which she said ‘New Zealand or French?’ She then served me a New Zealand white in a red wine glass! I was also under the impression they do Sunday roast as shown on their website from 12 midday with no end time was very disappointed when there was no roast on the menu. The waitress we ordered food from was very nice and polite. My partner asked for Cromer crab after ordering it thought about how he was going to de shell it. He immediately asked a different waitress if they could de shell it for him thinking if they couldn’t he would order something else. She didn’t come back with an answer so he had to ask again!! I have no complaints about the food. The food was very nice. The chef also did a good job of serving the crab as requested. When we finished our food we went downstairs to pay the bill the rude waitress slammed some glasses on the bar right in front of us. We just paid the bill and went."

"Visited this restaurant today at 1.15pm. Yes this was off speck, but we did not expect to be treated verbally the way we were. The huge sign outside the place clearly stated open between 12 3pm so our hopes were high. We waited close to the bar, which was not being attended. We were totally ignored by a member of staff who walked past several times., not even “ I will be with you shortly. “ Yes there were 4 tables in a small nearby room. One being vacated, one, people were already eating at, and the other was giving member staff their order. Also the bar area was empty, except a couple already snacking at one of the four tables, So when the lady came to us and very brusquely said “ yes “ we were hopeful, but how wrong were we. We were told in no uncertain terms that the place was full, and that in 3/4 hour they we’re expecting 20 people for lunch, so there was no way at all !! That they could serve us. So as you might guess we left feeling rather annoyed by the reception we had received. It was totally unnecessary and very rude. We left drove to The Fleece, Bungay, and had a extremely good lunch even though we had to wait for a short while until a table was vacated"
