"my normal reviews for The Greyhound usually include such things as Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts, but we are out of season now !! So we are back to the basics. Sunday Lunch was good as normal.(3 different meats or all 3 at once . Tables quite full as normal. Service good as normal (including the personal banter I get, from the Naval connection, do not know why !! . Then we come to Puddings. I like the Cheescake with Ice Cream. BUT the problem all over the world is that the decorative drizzle of sauce on the plate to start with can only be eater by licking the plate afterwards !! We get round this by me having my sauce in a little bowl so I can pour it on the Cheesecake (all thanks to Gail ."

Really REALLY lovely pub. Fantastic landlord accommodated us and our 6 dogs with ease. Great food and atmosphere. There was a time all pubs were like this (or most! , go, you won’t be disappointed.

We had the pleasure of visiting The Greyhound Inn twice during our visit to Beaminster. The food was superb, the welcome was amazing and this is a must visit place to eat if you are in the area. There are places you visit where they get everything right and this is one of them. I cannot recommend the Greyhound highly enough.

I was pleasantly surprised by The Greyhound Pub in a charming Dorset village. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The staff was warm and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for everyday meals or special occasions. I highly recommend this delightful village find for a truly unforgettable dining experience. View menu

as good as ever (even if my deep fried brussel sprouts are not on the menu). they have now reduced the menu, so now only about 30 different mains and 8-10 specials per day every day of the week apart from Sunday evening !!! For Saturday breakfast I had a change from the usual Full Breakfast and had Poached Eggs with a side of Deep fried brussels !!! Sunday Lunch was as normal (see latest picture).

I had breakfast on Saturday at this restaurant, where I was served by an ex Mariner. Despite a brief wait for a pint due to a Copper change, the full breakfast was filling and delicious. The menu offers a wide range of options and there are always 8 to 10 specials available. Reservations may not always be necessary, but on Curry night Friday, Steak night, and Sunday Lunch, it's recommended. The full menu is still available on these nights.

My wife, neighbors, and I went to this pub for a Christmas lunch, where I decided to order the roast beef. Unfortunately, it was a mistake as the beef was overcooked and the roast potatoes were very hard. The other vegetables looked good though. After trying the beef, I gave up and left. My wife chose the vegetable option, which turned out to be a wise choice. I recommend making a reservation at the Admiral Hood in Mosterton instead. You will have a better dining experience there. What a great welcoming traditional village pub. We were lucky enough to be staying in Beaminster and wondered into this pub as it looked busy and had a sign saying “Dogs Welcome”. Well it’s not just the dogs that were welcomed, we all were!!! Lovely chatty staff and regulars. A lovely couple even bought our dogs a pup cake each. We felt so welcomed we went back for a drink another night and a meal and drinks another. The food was great quality, a great choice (even for me as a Coeliac) and very reasonably priced. Should we visit the area again we will definitely pop in and recommend others do too.

Whilst saying in the Town for 5 days we had dinner at the Inn on 3 occasions, each time we were looked after very well and enjoyed all of the meals we had. Reason why we came back. Its really nice to see establishments like the Inn doing so well and this can only be down to the owners approach on running their business. The choice of local ales, a varied choice of food but just enough to suit most peoples tastes. We were always made welcome and felt as valued customers, each night the Inn was busy and its was great to see. We would highly recommend the Inn and if we are back in the area its a place we will be heading back to.
