"We were devastated when The Haberdashery closed down earlier in the year after the original owner had decided to leave London. This was our favourite brunch spot and you could pretty much guarantee that we'd be here every Sunday for our usual' weekend sustenance. However,...we were thrilled to discover that the new owners were re-opening this popular Crouch End eatery under the same name, interior design and similar menu. Not only was the interior decor maintained, including the seasonal art exhibits that are displayed on the walls, but the menu remained surprisingly similar to the original. In fact, some of the items had been enhanced. As a self-confessed tea junkie I was delighted to see the inclusion of a range of new teas. It's not often that you find peony tea on the menu so to have a choice of these was a real treat. I've been working my way through this new list since it's reopened and have not been disappointed. For a brunch to be a success, eggs and a good Hollandaise sauce are a must. This new iteration of The Haberdashery certainly surpassed my expectations. One of the bonuses of its previous incarnation was the gluten-free alternative options which have happily, been continued by its successor. The only thing I would add to these amazing eggs Benedict brunches would be a simple green salad which its previous incarnation would include with a simple but tasty balsamic dressing. Our year-old was always a big fan of their original Kid's menu but has become enamoured with several of their newer grown-up' menu options. She was delighted to discover that their famous sweet and savoury muffins were still on the menu, not to mention a new range of delicious cakes. In all, we are delighted that The Hab that we know and love is still very much alive and kicking. We certainly miss the original owner and staff members but really do appreciate the commitment and determination of the new team as well as the new additions to their delicious and extensive menu. We look forward to many more weekends at this cosy and friendly eatery."

Excellent! The food was delicious. We ordered Malaysian chicken with sides of zucchini, tomatoes, basil, as well as chickpeas and eggplant. The salmon teriyaki was also fabulous!

Friendly service, nice interior with cool artwork however the food was mediocre. Paid nearly a tenner for a plain roll with a patty in it and some soggy Iceland lettuce on the side.

Lovely little restaurant. This charming eatery is located in Crouch End. I had breakfast here, which was delicious. The staff is also very friendly. It's child-friendly and the cakes look amazing too!

This restaurant serves a great breakfast and provides excellent service. The staff is very friendly and creates a welcoming atmosphere. The cakes here are also delicious, so be sure to save room for dessert. I recommend trying their fruit juice as well; it is fresh and flavorful.

Its sad that the original owner left London. He used to do the best English breakfast in London. I visited last Sunday and Im afraid the new owner doesn't get it right. The price has gone up by about and the quality down to I don't...know what. Very disappointing. What was once a wonderful cafe/teashop has gone pear shaped.

Visited Crouch End for the first time this morning for a quick visit with my daughter. The Habidashery cafe was recommended by a lovely lady in one of the shops. I had a special chicken salad, which was served with a very tasty, warm bread,...and a cuppa. Absolutely delicious! Will definitely return on my next visit to London. Staff very pleasant, and service was perfect! View menu

TLDR version: they are amazing! delicious food, nice to eat and perfect for private rental! highly venerated! the long version: due to our history here have organized me and my man our high-time recipe in the habrdashery. the new owner and the rest of the staff were so incredibly friendly and accomodating, it was all we asked and so much more! we worked together on a HUGE menu that could feed a poor, all the guests loved eating (the salmon and the pie got the largest number of compliments). we included a lot of the main thing in the lunch card, plus dips, canaps and salat that I was hired, alcoholic and non-alcoholic punsch and other drinks, accomodating guests with all types of food prefere...

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
